Services were sub par. Errors, Errors, and more errors, which caused me to pay way more than than I should have. This firm uses emails as invoices, does not provide backup to invoices when requested, it crazy. Most of all, the firm does not take responsibility for its errors in your ruling, better yet it simply charged you again. Stay as far away from this firm as possible!
Again, enphasis on math errors, no support regarding itemized ruling issued, and certainly no detailed invoice statements after multiple requests. No words can describe the events.
Owner response
In response to your review, it is noted that you have used our office on multiple occasions. Arbitrations are by law different from mediations. Our office bills hourly for such services. In arbitrations all documentation in support of the issues to be addressed are supplied by the parties themselves and are deemed to be accurate to the best of the supplying party’s knowledge. If a party argues the accuracy and/or authenticity of submitted materials and/or the arbitrator asks for additional clarification this will delay the ruling and add to cost. Any delay in receiving additional or corrected materials from either parties and/or if new material/documentation is deemed crucial to the proceeding there is an additional cost for review and consideration. Our office provides itemized billing statements/cc receipts for all services rendered. For arbitrations the award/ruling itself also contains the breakdown of fees/costs as well. Statements are sent via e-mail and upon request, regular mail.
Strong lawyers are always trying hard to do justice. I am proud to have a great influence of hope. When we go through the hardest trife in life there are here to help to stay focused. I'm grateful there are still good men left in every one's interest.
Poor communication at the offset. It took me multiple phone calls and emails over a longer than necessary amount of time to hear back about getting mediation scheduled.
Owner response
We are responding to your review. Our mediation coordinator did not immediately see your original e-mail as it was directed to our junk e-mail folder. Upon contacting you she did explain what had happened. When scheduling mediations all involved parties must be on the e-mail string. Opposing was added to the e-mail string and dates of availability were provided to all. The coordinator never heard back from opposing. Both parties must agree to mediate and to a mutual date unless otherwise court ordered. Due to opposing’s lack of response, communications regarding mediation scheduling ceased.

The communication with the receptionist is not that welcoming. Feels like you are forcing someone to talk. ( Having a more friendly tone helps much)
Anyway the lawyer am seeing is a good one and I know I will get help.
Owner response
We are sorry to hear that you feel you have had a negative experience with our office. Our staff is here to assist you and gather the necessary information to set up your initial consultation. This process ensures that your first appointment/contact with the attorney will be productive and matched to the right attorney based upon for your legal issue(s) and needs. Our staff cannot provide legal advice at any time. We are an area specific practice which may not match your legal needs.

Terrible receptionist. Called needing legal advice about a serious time sensitive matter. The phone manner of the receptionist felt like talking to a reluctant teenager. The call was disconnected so I called right back. No answer. Had to call a 2nd time. Her lack of phone etiquette is incredibly unprofessional. I'll be contacting another office.
Owner response
We have reviewed your complaint with our office. We strive to assist all that contact our office to the best of our abilities. At the time of your initial call, there were no in-house attorneys present to speak with you. Our staff cannot provide legal advice. You advised as to your frustration in that we were the 5th to 7th office you had called. You were told that the earliest we could accommodate was an appointment the next day. Your call dropped and you called back and apologized for the dropped call. The staff member attempted to ask you for your information in order to book the next day appointment, but was unsuccessful. We are sorry that you feel your experience with our office was not positive.

Oooo my gosh never seen nothing like this, just called and the lady answered and I asked how much was for the consultation. She said 3 for half hours and I wasn’t sure, so I asked 3 what ? And she yelling said THREE and I asked again “But three what ?” So she hang up on me 🤦🏻♂️
Owner response
We apologize for the confusion and miscommunication. Our initial consultations are 30 minutes and are free not "three".
Communication (negative)Fee Transparency (mixed)Semi-PersonalizedSentiment: negativeGeneric ReviewLikely Non-Client / Consultation
They don't answer the phone, they don't respond to messages left and make an already stressful process more so with the total lack of regard to the people they are nominally serving. Just truly awful customer service.

I wish I could give you negative stars, Maarij and this law firm was referred to me from a family friend, my case was an immigration case regarding my wife. Instead of simply referring me to someone else of expertise in that field, he took advantage of the family friend reference and assured me he is an “expert” in immigration ( I found out later he specializes in divorce and family related matters).
He had no idea what he was doing, because of him I wasted a good 2-3 years and thousands of dollars. It wasn’t until I switched attorneys that actually specialize in the matter I realized Maarij had no idea what he was doing and I had to start everything from square one.i don’t even care about the money, but the TIME he wasted is something I will never get back. He simply could have told me he was not an immigration lawyer and I would have been on my way. Absolute fraud, don’t waste your time and money with these people who practice in bad faith on behalf on their clients.
I really enjoyed working with John Curry as a mediator. He was the perfect balance of professional and personable. He laid out all of the facts and gave me a helpful prediction of what would happen if we were to go to trial, all while providing much-needed comedic relief during an intense and stressful experience. While I didn’t get the outcome I was hoping for, I did reach an agreement that I feel good about, thanks to John.
This was my lawyer’s first time mediating with John and she’s already wanting to work with him again!
