We went for a free consultation in Dallas, TX, regarding immigration matters. The people who gave the consultation weren't the lawyers themselves, but rather their assistants. They told us the case was very straightforward and that it would cost $2,000 to open the case, but that if we signed the paperwork right then and there, they had a special rate of $1,000. We opened the case, and after three months, they called us to come to their office. It turns out the lawyer handling the case is in California, and we only spoke to him on the phone, only for him to tell us that nothing could be done. What I don't understand is why the assistant told us the case was so easy and why we had taken so long to open it. He also mentioned that they take all the cases. I think it's just about the money they charge to open the case. I feel like they don't care if the case can be won or not.
Owner response
Hello Jose, we do not handle immigration cases, and we have no record of having assisted you.
