My regret is starting this alone. I tried to do it myself . I attended multiple appointments, dug through records to prove my disability’s existed and impacted me daily. I was not able to reach the rating I felt correlated with my disability’s. Mr. Magann was transparent and goal focused. He asked questions and had an answer for all my inquires.He made it happen! I was referred to David by a family member and unfortunately, I did not get a positive experience myself after my initial consultation. The attorney gave me a call about 5 mins late (which is fine because things happen) and the first thing they said was "Hey, heard you got a VA problem". No apology for the tardiness and no greeting/introduction. After continuing to receive what felt like animosity/aggression from this attorney, I politely stopped the conversation to ask if I had said or done anything to offend or upset him based on the way he was speaking to me since he made me feel like a burden and as though I may be wasting his time. Once again, no apology or acknowledgement of how he was communicating, only "I'm just trying to help". I shared the feedback towards the end of the call in case David could apply something learned to future calls but was told "good luck" followed by being hung up on abruptly. Based on this experience, you can obviously tell David could care less that I was a referred to him by someone who he helped...which says a lot about a business owner given the value of a healthy and positive referral network. I'm not sure how folks put their trust in someone who lacks professionalism and people skills when trying to help a veteran and potentially get paid for their service. If you're reading this, I advise to take your potential business elsewhere if you value professionalism and someone who will truly look out for your best interest.

I was referred to David from a veteran friend who was helped by him. I submitted my request to his office late last spring and contacts with VA personnel regarding re-evaluation within a couple of weeks. My disability percentage was raised from 60 to 90% by September of the same year. Other items within the claim were deferred and I just continued my normal VA medical care appointments. Last week I got a new, final claim letter for 100%. David's office was professional and timely in all of its communications with VA, and as I have learned, used the right language from the CFR to meet the requirements for the appeal.
