My husband and I had some questions about the wording of distribution of assets from our trust after our deaths. Since we now reside in TN, we scheduled a phone call with Attorney Bill Davies. He clearly explained how our trust works and clarified choices we have on naming beneficiaries to our life insurance, IRA'S and ROTH accounts. He also provided valuable information about children under 18 years of age inheriting assets. The phone consultation has allowed us to feel. confident that our trust is meeting our needs. Our daughter will eventually be the person who distributes trust assets. Mr. Davies offered to schedule a three way phone call to answer any questions she may have at this time. My mom and dad whose primary language is not English we’re taken advantage of and misled that you didn’t to a irrevocable trust. It was not ok that my mom could lose half her savings if she had to go into a nursing home. I noticed this when I needed to help her several years after my dad died We had to pay thousands to fix this and my mom was in jeopardy of needing care. It would also affect my inheritance. So need to warn people about this unethical behavior!
