Hello, I'm a resident of Dayton, Texas, and I've been working with these lawyers for almost a year now. I haven't received any response; I've just been waiting and waiting for information. They told me they would contact me every six weeks, but my payments haven't stopped. I'm paying over $600 a month, plus what I pay them, totaling $1700. They said they would cancel the contract with the company that financed my solar panels, but it's been almost a year and nothing has happened. I'm desperate. I also wrote to Attorney Encarnacion, but haven't received a response. I hope someone can help me.
Thank you guys for helping me, the process was very easy and fast. Ms Diana and Angela explained everything and walked me thru every step. Thank you, definitely recommend this Firm.
"Complete lack of communication from Defiant Law. I hired them for a solar claim and they have done nothing but ignore my calls and emails. The rep who did my intake is named Santiago, and now the only response I ever get is a text from him telling me to 'trust the process' with zero actual updates.
Under California Rule of Professional Conduct 1.4, attorneys have a mandatory legal duty to respond to reasonable status inquiries and keep clients informed of significant developments. Vague texts from an intake rep do not fulfill this duty. Because they have effectively abandoned my case, I am filing formal complaints with the State Bar of California and the California Attorney General. Avoid this firm if you want real representation."

I had an excellent experience with this law firm. They helped me with an issue related to my solar panel contract and, from the very beginning, demonstrated professionalism and extensive knowledge of the subject. Although the case is still ongoing—as these types of processes can take several months—they have always been available to answer my questions and keep me informed every step of the way. I want to especially highlight the exceptional service of Ms. Lupita in admissions. From the start, she patiently guided me, even when I didn't know where to begin. She helped me gather my documents and review my contract, explaining everything clearly and understandably. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing legal assistance with solar panel-related issues. They are professional, attentive, and genuinely care about their clients.
Excellent service, I highly recommend them to all my friends and family. Their communication and the effort they put into resolving cases as quickly, safely, and efficiently are outstanding.
Unprofessional, poor communication and unauthorized actions.
I strongly advise against hiring this firm, especially for solar panel cases. They failed to keep my mother informed, missed critical deadlines, and ultimately lost her case due to their own negligence. Despite this, they opened a second case without her consent and began charging fees for work she never authorized. They ignore emails and voicemails but are quick to send bills. Save yourself the stress and find a firm that respects its clients and the law.
While speaking to Santiago about my Solar panel issues, he got confused and put the call on hold and never got back. Now this dysfunctional Legal Office does not answer my calls. He probably preferred I speak Spanish but I don't.
Is this the manner in which they perform business?
you’ll notice a common trend with this law firm. zero communication. my mother and I hired this law firm to represent our solar panels case but in the last 8 months we’ve received 1 update (which I had to call several times to get) and we never received a detailed timeline for the case. the only thing you can count to be on time is when they ask you to pay the bill. matter of fact that’s the only time they’ll call you to give you an update. i would not recommend this law firm to anyone looking for quality representation. you get better service at your local mcdonald’s than this place.
P.S. the number they give when replying to these reviews is just their switchboard which will ring for hours without an answer.
Please do do your research before hiring this lawyer. I looked for support from this law firm to see what can be done about my solar panels that are no longer working and it has been over a year. I have always been the one contacting them to ask them about my case Not once did they contact me to informe about my case I had to be the one asking about my case.
In their written communication with me, the staff members contradicted themselves on what exactly has been done for my case which shows how they have misrepresented this case.
When I initially went in you are met by staff members who go over your case who don’t hold a license to give legal advice. That should have been my first red flag but I was desperate to resolve this issue. I have never meet with the lawyer at all and have called multiple times yet I am never directly put in contact with him. It is with his assistant who again is misrepresenting my case as they aren’t even able to answer simple questions.
I did ask for my money back and the response I got back from the assistant was that they don’t guarantee the cases. While I do understand they cannot guarantee cases they did misrepresent my case by not keeping me informed of my case, by giving false information in what their attempts were going to be in making contact with the business and by not being able to respond to questions in a timely manner.
As of August 24 still no response from the assistant…. I came to this law firm to seek justice not to end up being deceived again.

Hello Anonymous,

I’m truly sorry for the frustration you’ve experienced. What you’re describing—especially feeling like you had to chase updates, receiving inconsistent information, and not getting a timely response—is not the level of communication or care we want for any client. You trusted us to help with a difficult solar panel situation, and it sounds like we have yet to meet your expectations. For that, I sincerely apologize.

Because we can’t discuss case details publicly, I’d like to review your file personally, clarify exactly what has (and hasn’t) been done, and make sure you receive a clear, written summary and next steps. If you wish, we’ll also schedule a direct meeting with me, the attorney, to answer your questions and address the concerns you raised about our process.

To make this right, we will:
Conduct an immediate audit of your case activity and communication history, Provide a straightforward timeline of actions taken and options going forward, and Revisit your fee concerns in good faith after that review.

Please email me directly at estefan@defiant-law.com
or call 909-581-4351 with your full name and best contact info so I can prioritize this today. Thank you for bringing this to our attention—we appreciate the opportunity to address it and do better.
