Let me tell you a short story about this law firm — and no, I’m not a paid actor or part of any scam. My name is Giovanni, and this is my honest experience. After my accident with an 18-wheeler, I wasn’t sure if I should just go through insurance or call a lawyer. Looking back now, I’m extremely glad I chose a lawyer. November 2025. Attorney Lauren M. Horne, of the DeSouza Law Firm allegedly overcoached witnesses in our case, when working for a large Insurance Defense Company in San Antonio, Texas. Respectful response to DeSouza Law Firm comments below; First, we have read Goggle Review Policies. We have not harassed or contacted Attorney Horne since we are not writing directly to her. We are not Doxxing Attorney Horne. In sum, we are providing our personal experience with Ms. Horne involving a Fair Housing Act Discrimination Investigation complaint against her Client. We are a couple with two separate Google Accounts. We thank you for stating we have not written a negative review about your DeSouza Law Firm. Instead, our negative Review applies to your Associate Attorney Lauren M. Horne. We reference our experience when she was an Associate Attorney at Thornton Law Firm, San Antonio, Texas. Hence, we carefully avoided attacking your law firm. However, you have decided to criticize us for providing lawful opinions regarding Attorney Horne's alleged unethical performance in a case you are not privy to. We also filed a Motion to Disqualify Attorney Horne with the Court and her previous law firm prior to your law firm hiring her. That is not libel. We have followed Goggle Guidelines. We have provided lawful opinions on Attorney Lauren Horne. We employ the word " Alleged." As you are aware, individuals have four years to forward alleged State Bar of Texas Bar Ethics complaints against Attorneys. We have stated Attorney Lauren Horne allegedly engaged in overcoaching of witnesses and other alleged State Bar of Texas Ethics violations. For example, we have the TWC- HUD transcripts where Attorney Horne interjected and interrupted her client while he was testifying. She used the same wording she allegedly over-coached other Respondent Clients to repeat under oath to a State Investigator. In our opinion, that is an alleged violation of the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct. Advising consumers of an Attorney's alleged unethical behavior is not desperate. We have nothing to be desperate about. We are merely reporting our experience with Attorney Horne. We are alerting potential clients to Attorney Horne's alleged unethical conduct. Again, that endeavor is hardly desperation? Periodically we update our original Goggle Review on Attorney Horne when we receive new information. For example, we have learned her client was recently fired by the City of Floresville for "25 issues," that included misuse of City of Floresville Government and Charitable Trust funds and alleged embezzlement of State and Federal funds. The Wilson County News provided several articles on her fired Client. Finally, we will correct any alleged Goggle Review Guideline error on our part. We will also remove our review of Attorney Horne if and when the Texas State Bar finds she violated no Professional Code of Conduct or Ethics violations. That is fairness. Here is our opinion and review on Attorney Lauren Horne: Attorney Lauren Horne allegedly overcoached witnesses during a HUD Administrative Tribunal Investigation. Attorney Lauren failed to set a Jury Trial date and advised Opposing Counsel she did set a Trial date. That is alleged Legal Malpractuce. While the DeSouza Law Firm has an excellent reputation, newly hired Attorney Lauren Horne allegedly violated the Texas Disciplinary Code of Professional Conduct in our case. We plan to file a Texas State Bar Grievance against Attorney Lauren M. Horne.

I want to acknowledge that the team members I’ve interacted with have always been professional and kind. However, I am deeply frustrated with my case, which has been open for over three years following a vehicle accident that was 100% not my fault. Despite sharing all the necessary details, my medical bills will not be included in the compensation I will receive if that ever happens due to me being 17 at the time, I am now 21. The ongoing lack of communication from the firm has made it challenging for me to remain hopeful about receiving compensation for my suffering. I had initially hoped for a resolution, but I’m left feeling disheartened by this prolonged process. If it has to take this long, at the very least the firm should improve their communication. Maybe it is just my particular case that is complicated but in my opinion, it has not been going well these past 3-4 years. While there have been brief moments of good communication that gave me hope, these have often been followed by extended periods of silence that can last for months:/
