From the very first moment, I was treated with professionalism, respect, and promptness. Ms. Melanie and Ms. Arguelles were with me every step of the way, and I am very pleased with their service. Thank you so much for everything.
I was referred to this firm by a family member with close ties to one of the partners, who I thought would be residing over my case, but ended up not. Still, I trusted that this firm, with its supposed grand reputation, would handle my case with the utmost care. However, that was not the case. From the very beginning it was a struggle. I am sure they will disagree with everything I have to say, and actually in the end they turned it on me like I was the bad client, because heaven forbid I get upset over how this was handled and the end result. I won't go over all the details since this is a review, but if the Florida Bar complaint system wasn't such an arduous process (that would probably amount to basically nothing), both Carlos and Christina would be facing formal complaints. I understand that my case, being that it had to do with mold, is a difficult one and most attorneys do not accept mold cases for that reason, but then maybe that should have been discussed up front with the client and the case not accepted, or at the very least expectations set at the beginning. Instead, what I got was an attorney that set the demand way too high because there was no defense counsel appearing and thought it was an easy win. Needless to say, when defense did show up last minute, this attorney was not prepared to take this case to trial. They had 3 years! And we had nothing to legitimately defend my illness/injuries! I felt backed into a corner during mediation and ended up agreeing to settle. And initially I was ok with that..."it is what it is" and I was over this whole process. Then I got my closing statement.... I'm sorry but the attorney/firm should never get more than their injured client. I feel like that is just morally and ethically wrong. So, not only did they get their 40% contingency fee, but they tacked on an additional $17,000 in miscellaneous (undisclosed) fees. These fees were not mentioned in the contract I signed, nor could the attorney show me in the contract where it supposedly stated the additional fees to be charged. When I questioned this they "graciously" waived $2000 in fees, but refused to do anything else. Bottom line, these attorneys do not care about you as the injured client. It's all about the money and the game! So sad, this case could have been handled so much better with proper communication and honesty. Carlos, you never should have let that generic letter go out with my closing check. It just made it that much more evident that you had no clue what was going on with my case. Or if you did, you just didn't care your client was unhappy. So here you go, here's your review you asked for. It was a very unsatisfactory experience to say it mildly. I will never refer anyone to your firm.
I am very pleased with all the support and help I received throughout my lawsuit process. I received fair and professional treatment, and they fought until the end to obtain a fair reward. Great job, congratulations!
My name is Guadalupe Calderón. We received excellent, consistent treatment. It was tremendous support; they sent us doctors, provided transportation, made phone calls, and accommodated everything to our needs. We recommend them to anyone who wants to hire them.
Christina did a great job handling my accident case. She was professional, kept me informed, and made sure everything went smoothly from start to finish. The outcome was better than I expected. Her staff was also very friendly and helpful throughout the process. I’d definitely recommend her to anyone needing a good lawyer.
Throughout the process, I was well supported, with everyone attentive to every detail of the case. It was a long but fruitful process. I am very grateful. I recommend them 100%.
