Ben was great! Everything we needed he explained well and got it done. Wouldn’t go to another lawyer!
Fair with his fee and actually cares. I had to go after a business for breaching a contract and he got me the result I wanted and earned my business for all of my legal needs.

For once, I felt seen by an Attorney. Mr. Benjamin took care of my car wreck as if he was injured in the car with me! I am so thankful for him and his staff. Highly recommend.

When I first needed a lawyer I found Mr. Andrew Dodgen. I worked with him for about 2½-3 years. Im now working with his son Mr. Ben Dodgen and I couldn't be happier. He is so kind, listens to everything you say, and most definitely isn't afraid to stand up for you when you need it the most. I would 100% recommend Ben Dodgen!

Dogden law firm does not deserve this one star rating. I wasted $6000 with Andrew and Benjamin Dodgen. And Yes I include both because both billed me for charges. I hired Andrew Dodgen in 2023 for an contempt charge and modification. I was never seen before the Judge to address my modification case. The only time I was before a judge was due to 2 contempts filed by my ex. I gave Andrew Dodgen all the evidence to prove these contempts were based on false allegations. He presented nothing to the judge. He just sat there like a log on a bench. Their paralegal told me in person that she didn't have to return my calls. I called often because my case was going nowhere. Everytime I tried to speak with the paralegal, she was " tied up in evidenary hearing". My court date was canceled because no one advised the guardian ad litem to look at the case. The Judge canceled the case days prior to trial because he didn't have the guardian ad litem report. Once he canceled it, A. Dodgen reached out to the guardian ad litem. Why was this being done at the last minute? The judge said an guardian ad liem was need during court date in July 2024. So why wasn't she notified before our next October court date. Push forward 2025, A. Dodgen decides to become a full time judge. He informs me of this in June 2025, and sets my mediation for July 28, 2025. On August 1, 2025 A. Dodgen left the practice to be a judge. I was told if I give them more money I could retain the son Ben Dodgen. Many reviews here says Ben is a great lawyer. He offered help to fix the mistakes made during my contract. Yes he was willing to recommend other attorneys who could take my case. But why should I chose another lawyer in Columbus. Lawyers in Columbus are preers. So beware of Columbus lawyers because they will turn around and testify for opposing counsel after they sever ties with you case. Yes I know they're no longer my attorney but when you failed to properly advise a client at mediation of what needs to be included in the final documents. I went to mediation with a list of what I wanted to be addressed. I showed this to A.Dodgen and he told me I could get child support because my visitation time was being increased. But they failed to put it in writing before mediation ended. By being naive of the process, I thought child support would be automatic. After Ben allowed the opposing counsel to type up the final order and recommendations, the order became one sided. It stated every thing I would do in carrying the insurance for the kids etc. But it stated nothing about the defendant. The legal way of avoiding conversation or change in child support. They put in the document all other things will be the same. So you just lost support with that one statement. If I was fully advised by my counsel I would not have signed the mediation agreement. So the opposing cancel files a motion to compel me to sign this document. I'm refusing because I'm stuck with all the kids bills and my counsel didn't tell me this during mediation. When I enter Pro se, because I have been drained financially paying Dodgen, mediator and guardian at liem on a VA disability income. To my surprise at trial, Benjamin Dodgen shows up as the opposing counsel witness. He states oh, she was satisfied with the final mediation agreement.. Andrew or Benjamin didn't explain to me that by signing this document, I forfeited receiving child support. I thought child support was considered in every case automatically. They didn't tell me I needed to request it in the mediation document. Benjamin even sat next to my opposing counselor in the lawyer's box Do not hire attorneys in Columbus for your case. Get an outside attorney who is not apart of Columbus' good old boy system. I as a client didn't know what needed to be put in a mediation, a judge and lawyer should know what needs to be stated in a mediation agreement. Well this judge and lawyer didn't explain to me what I was signing. Now I'm stuck with no child support and Benjamin Dodgen testifying for my opposing counsel. This is as shady as it gets.
