If I could give ZERO stars, I would. This law firm did not even have the audacity to speak to me personally about the case I called them about. They sent me an "sorry, we cannot help you" email. I have so much evidence gathered that I know I have a huge case ready for an excellent attorney. Their email shows and tells me that the Integrity of this law firm is not good, despite a few good reviews they have.

No phone number was given to us and we emailed three times without a response, this review should be taken down as incorrect. <br>

Ingrid Evans, of Evans Law, San Francisco, was so helpful and although she could not take our case, she was willing to take the time out to refer me to others. I only wish we could have hired her on the spot but we are out of her field. 5 star isn't enough

Thank you, I really appreciate your opinion. Ingrid
Ms. Evans helped in my case by filtering the important facts and creating a clear strategy to follow. She was always available for questions during the process.

Ingrid Evans was a bright light during one of the darkest periods of my life.
Unlike other attorneys I had talked to, Ingrid wasn't taking our case with monetary figures in mind.
Ingrid is one of those rare attorneys who still has a keen sense of justice, and a sense of what is and is not acceptable in a decent society.
She didn't even give me a monetary figure of what the case might be worth. She took our case because she knew that what was done to my mom was an outrage.
Watching Ingrid work is like watching a master artist or skillful warrior at work. I was constantly amazed at how skillfully she not only refuted the opposing lawyers' arguments, but went on the offense getting them on every point of negligence that the people they were defending had committed.
I'm an artist and musician, and I've always admired watching someone who is really masterful at what they do. Ingrid is exactly that in her profession: a master at work in the legal profession. That combined with an empathetic and compassionate heart, makes her a rare person in this day and age.
She's one in a million. She and her team are all very personable as well as professional at what they do.
Besides everything I've mentioned thus far, Ingrid went WAY above and beyond what she was hired to do. She helped me with multiple issues that came up that were not part of our contract. And not just a little bit, but she followed up everything she helped me with all the way, far beyond what any other attorney would have done.
Ingrid is a true humanitarian. She's one of those "hero lawyers" that you see in movies or TV shows that you always hope really exists somewhere, but you rarely find in real life.
I don't know how much time I have left on the earth, but Ingrid Evans is one of those people that will always be a hero in my life's story.
Most sincerely,
Ian B
I am so impressed and so very thankful to Ms. Evans for her prompt and helpful advice. I was a stranger to her, but she took the time to answer my questions, provide insight from her experience, and offer to help me again if needed. I am very fortunate to have reached out to her, and certainly recommend her. Thank You Evans Law Firm !

The Evans Law Firm has great attorneys that are relentless, with exemplary performance and energy devoted to my case. My case would not have resolved without Ms. Evans - a tireless attorney that will not give up or stop until the case is resolved successfully.

Ingrid and the Evans Law Firm represented me (Sandra Johannes) on a case no one else wanted, and I thought I would never get any response on. They took the case and Ingrid proved me wrong. She was constantly on top of what was going on, keeping me well informed and always responded whenever I contacted her with questions, impressively even nights and weekends. Although I didn't win the case, I did settle with a substantial amount from what I initially loss that caused my dispute. I highly recommend the Evans Law Firm.

Evans Law Firm has been a powerful force in shedding light on the realities of elder abuse—especially abusers that hide behind manipulation, isolation, and financial exploitation. Their assertiveness is essential in navigating very complex situations where truth needs to be uncovered and justice pursued.
For anyone facing the difficult task of finding advocation for an elder who has been mistreated or taken advantage of, this firm offers not only legal expertise but the kind of moral clarity and strategic guidance that makes recovery possible. I am deeply grateful for their work and highly recommend their services.
Evans Law Firm's website explicitly states they handle "whistleblower cases for false claims for government payments." I contacted them with a documented False Claims Act case involving systematic Medicaid fraud by a managed care plan - exactly matching their stated practice area. I presented:
False claims against federal Medicaid program
Systematic denial of medically necessary care while collecting government premiums
Documented evidence of insurance fraud
Opioid-specific discrimination affecting all beneficiaries
51-day obstruction of prescribed medical equipment
Ms. Evans personally stated this is "not in their scope" despite their website advertising this exact type of case. This is false advertising. If your firm doesn't actually handle False Claims Act whistleblower cases involving government healthcare fraud, remove that language from your website. Don't waste potential clients' time claiming expertise you won't apply. I'll be filing a complaint with the California State Bar for misleading advertising under Rule 7.1 (Communications Concerning a Lawyer's Services).Potential clients: Look elsewhere for qui tam representation. This firm says they handle it but apparently doesn't.
Update – October 19, 2025 (Ethics & Professional Conduct):
After my original review, I received a written case-declination email from Evans Law dated October 13, 2025, sent by “paralegal-in-training Haley Lewis” and signed by Ingrid Evans. The same message lists whistleblower and False Claims Act cases as a firm practice area—the exact type of case I presented—yet my case was rejected as “not in scope.”
On Sunday, October 19, 2025, at approximately 8:30 a.m. PT, Ms. Ingrid Evans personally called me from a private number to pressure me to remove this truthful review and to “apologize” for her paralegal’s mistake. This was unsolicited, outside business hours, and followed a written declination, meaning no attorney-client relationship existed.
Under the California Rules of Professional Conduct, this conduct raises multiple concerns:
Rule 7.1 – Misleading Communications About Legal Services: advertising FCA/whistleblower expertise while refusing a qualifying case.
Rule 7.3 – Direct Contact with Prospective Clients: intrusive, private-number call to a non-client constitutes improper solicitation.
Rule 8.4(d) – Conduct Prejudicial to the Administration of Justice: using concealed contact to influence or intimidate a reviewer undermines public trust.
This behavior also falls under harassment and potential retaliation prohibited by the Consumer Review Fairness Act (15 U.S.C. § 45b), which protects consumers’ right to post honest feedback.
I have preserved the call log, screenshots, and the declination email as evidence. New Google reviews for this firm now appear to be disabled, suggesting an attempt to suppress public criticism. Everything stated here is factual, documented, and will be submitted to the appropriate authorities for review.
