Debbie was my point person the entire time during the process of selling my house. She could use a course in professionalism because her email etiquette is very poor and she talks to people like theyre beneath her. I had sent emails and secure documents to another paralegal she works with and Debbie had asked for information about one of the pertinent clients that is included in the sale of our house. I told her that the info is in the forms I submitted. Her reply verbatim: "I dont have the form you only sent it to [paralegal].. so please forward it to me or just give me the info I requested." I do not work there, do not know the process, and do not understand why you talk to paying customers like this. For the most part, I went above and beyond to get info, documents, and return phone calls and emails as quickly as possible, yet in return, I got an attitude, condescension, and unanswered questions until later in the process. The worst of it was right at the end when it came to payout of net proceeds. We finalized 9/24/25, but it was late in the day so understandably, the deposit wouldn't be made until 9/25/2025. 1st email at 9:17 am on 9/25/2025: "FYI - your deposit most likely will not be made until tomorrow as I dont gave anyone going in thag direction." Greenwood Ave in Bethel to Main St Danbury is not a far drive and to delay a deposit 24 hours because of a 10 to 15 minute drive is unreasonable. Debbie's reply: "since your not local this is being handled as a courtesy... will do our best." So because a paying customer no longer lives locally, they can have their money held hostage, and we will get paid at her whim. Got it. I called, ready to give her a piece of my mind, but the person on the phone (I have to imagine she knew I was going to call) said Debbie was already at the bank making the deposit. And she said "is that okay?" Which leads me to believe that part was at least coordinated and knew her response would cause an issue, but the check being deposited would pacify me. I have all the emails to back these incidences if needed for the owner(s) of the business. My apologies for the long post, but after this experience, I had to say something because for someone to represent a firm/company to be this disrespectful is not a good representation of the good work that was done and the fair pricing that was given. While I prefer competency over kindness, it does not invite disrespect.
Throughout my whole home buying process this office has been more than helpful! Very fair costs and always available with any questions. Thank you all so much!!!
