Vadim (“Van”) Frish, of Frish Law Group, is a very personable, mild-mannered, and friendly lawyer. He’s also good at keeping appointments, and is willing to work with your work schedule to arrange them to some extent, which I appreciated. The problems I experienced with him repeatedly were his short memory, inconsistency, and inability to hone in on the key contractual points that would have won the case early on and that in fact, one of the opposing lawyers pointed out, but Van didn’t follow up on. My case (circa 2015) lingered for quite awhile - over a year - and I know he was frustrated that he couldn’t resolve “this little case” as he called it. Well, it started out little but I ended up with a net loss of about $11-12,000 which isn’t little to me but I guess it was to him (since it wasn’t his money). Maybe his focus on his bigger cases is what kept him from remembering any strategies he’d tell me we should use -- he’d forget them between phone calls to me. I’d have to remember to ask him, ‘hey, do you remember you said (such and such) the last time we spoke’, and then he’d give a reason why that idea of his was a bad one, even though nothing had changed on the opposition’s side to make it so. This happened repeatedly so I started writing down what he said in each conversation so I could refer back to it because I realized he wasn’t taking any notes or keeping track on his own. It was surprising to see such a young guy have such severe memory issues. Because of all these shifts, I never felt confident that we would win if we ever went to court, and that’s why I ended up agreeing to settle with such a huge loss in a case which I think could easily have been won quickly by a bolder, more experienced and consistent lawyer who wouldn’t be easily distracted by things like the need to take a selfie during a mediation. On the plus side, as I said at the beginning of this review, he is a very nice, gentle and amiable person. I was originally referred to him by attorney Melissa Marsh. Update: Based on the response from the owner, I added the year to this review, it's fair to note it. Glad to hear you've made improvements to your process.
