My experience with Mr. Ciotoli was extremely fair and helpful. I was lost and nervous and confused and they did everything to put me at at ease and advocated for me to the greatest degree he possibly could and got me the most favorable results. Extremely helpful and understanding. Everyone i dealt with at the Firm was very attentive to my case before and during all of the proceedings. I very highly recommend this firm to anyone in search of an honest person to thoroughly represent them. Awesome people for sure. I thank you guys very much for being there for me and getting me compensated for my losses and suffering.
I contacted this firm regarding disability discrimination and retaliation after being terminated during the interactive process. I provided extensive documentation at intake, including HR emails, doctor’s notes, evidence of a failed interactive process, and a written timeline.
I want to clarify that I did not interact with the other partners. This review reflects only my experience with Mr. Gattuso.
While the paralegal I spoke with, Lindsay, was professional and compassionate, Mr. Gattuso did not appear to review the intake materials and dismissed my case using generic statements such as:
“Well, you can’t perform the essential functions of the job.”
“Well, it took them nine months to fire you.”
“We usually take stronger cases than this.”
“I have been to a hospital recently. It is a lot of movement, very fast-paced…”
These comments were made without addressing documented reassignment obligations, retaliation timing, or the employer’s months-long failure to engage in the interactive process — all of which were included in my intake materials. He also reduced my role as a Registered Nurse to a surface-level stereotype without reviewing the actual job descriptions or alternative RN-adjacent positions involved.
I was seeking contingency representation and a substantive legal evaluation. Instead, I received superficial conclusions disconnected from the evidence provided.
I would recommend this firm only with caution for ADA-related matters as, judging from other reviews, there does appear to be substance to the other partners.
If the rating was based on Lindsay alone, that would have easily been a 5-stars without question. She was punctual, compassionate and professional throughout. Because the rating should consider the experience as a whole, I cannot in good conscience provide that level of credit where it is not due.
After searching for an attorney outside my demographic area, I was pleased with my choice of Ciotoli and Gattuso. Stephen and Lindsay were very helpful with my case keeping me informed with next steps, etc.
They both were very responsive to emails and guiding me every step of the way.
Highly recommended!
I’m beyond grateful that I found Stephen Ciotoli! He was recommended to me by multiple people and he/his staff are extremely responsive. He helped me get my life back and I can’t thank him enough. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
I felt like I had a worthy employer related discrimination case and when I talked with Attorney Ryan Files, he agreed to help me. First let me say with a last name like "Files" that should let you know off top, he gets right down to business. When it comes to litigation and putting an opposing party on notice, Ryan Files is the "Big Gun". He was totally professional, but more importantly he is very experienced and knowledgeable, I felt like I could trust him, and get out of the way and let him do what he does. He made sure I was updated about everything in a timely manner and he made it inclusive so that I felt like I was in the room with him. I never had to call him or email him asking about my case because he handled my case in a prioritized manner, and it was settled very quickly. It's something about the way he applies the law, that made the opposing party bow down and bow out. We had an initial phone consultation and from there all communication and negotiations were done exclusively via email. I was very happy with the outcome, the kind of outcome that for me and my family was life changing. I highly recommend Attorney Ryan Files, because when he "Files" a case backed by Gattuso & Ciotoli they play to win win win!!!!!
Filled out consultation form online. Was told someone would contact me in 24 - 48 hours. 5 days later left a voice message following-up. Was never contacted. Went to the law firm to try and set up a consultation. The administrative assistant asked me when I fill out the consultation form and to remind her of my case. She then said oh yeah the lawyers told me not to contact you because we couldn't help you with your case. 🤔 How am I supposed to know that if you never got back to me??? I'm not upset that you couldn't help me, I have had multiple other law firms tell me it's not in there area of expertise or something they deal with but they have told me that. I am just posting this so that others know and understand that if they fill out the consultation form or leave a message and don't here back it's probably because you are too busy to give a curtosy call and let them know that you can not assist them with their situation.
I went to this firm in October 2024 with an employment matter they really took good care of me here, they listened and never tried to rush or brush me off at all. My attorney Steve kept me informed every step of the way and he had my back. Lindsay is also great. The staff here are very friendly and so attentive. I would recommend this firm to any and everyone. Thanks Steve and Lindsay.
I recently used the service of this firm to negotiate a separation agreement from a former employer. My interactions with Frank Gattuso and Steve Ciotoli were equal parts supportive, insightful, and professional, and led to a rapid and mutually satisfying conclusion. I was absolutely impressed at every step along the way. I couldn't recommend this firm more highly.
Steve Ciotoli at Gattuso & Ciotoli was an absolute pleasure to work with on my hostile employment and retaliation case. His expertise and dedication were evident from the start. He was always available to answer my questions and ease my fears. He made me feel informed and supported every step of the way. His associate, Lindsay, was also a rock star and provided invaluable support. In the end, the settlement was beyond my expectations and I am incredibly grateful for Steve's counsel throughout. I felt truly cared for and supported by the entire team at Gattuso & Ciotoli, and they made a challenging situation much less stressful. I couldn't have asked for better representation.
