I recently found myself in a legal jam. I called Thomas Glasgow and left a message. He called back within an hour and 15 minutes. He was very kind, considerate and professional. A little over a month later we were at my first court date and Mr. Glasgow got me off the hook. Everything was reversed, dropped and done. I strongly advise against hiring this firm for any child custody case. From start to finish, their lack of professionalism and poor communication made an already painful process worse. They were unprepared, disorganized, and seemed completely indifferent to my situation or my daughter’s well-being. They double charged me bouncing from Stephanie Olsson to Sarah Merkatoris for financial files I already submitted. I wasted a lot of money on empty promises and little results. It felt like they were just going through the motions without any real care or strategy. Do yourself a favor and find a lawyer who actually fights for you. I hired Glasgow and Olsson to handle an appeal of a denial of my FOID renewal. The firm was recommended by the Illinois Rifle Association and I now know why. They put together an appeal packet that initially took some time but that was so thorough that it was immediately accepted and saved so much back and forth with the State Police that I was genuinely shocked at how quickly my case was resolved and how little of my limited funds it cost me. I even got a sizable refund of my retainer! The staff is professional and pleasant to work with and Tom Glasgow personally was a gem to speak with. These people have your best interest at heart, feel confident in 'pulling the trigger' (couldn't resist that one) and make the call to Glasgow and Olsson.
