Halpern Law Firm

In my personal experience, I would not recommend Halpern Law Firm. My case took a very long time to resolve, even during times when it appeared the other side was ready to settle. The extended timeline negatively impacted my final outcome, and I ended up receiving very little compared to the fees collected by the firm. When I reviewed the settlement breakdown, I noticed charges that raised concerns, including a large ambulance bill despite the fact that I transported myself to urgent care and did not ride in an ambulance. Had I not reviewed this closely, my payout would have been even smaller. During my deposition, the attorney assigned to me was minimally engaged and spent time on his phone, which made me feel unsupported during a stressful process. Overall, this experience was disappointing, and this review reflects my honest opinion based on my experience.

Working with Halpern Law Firm was a great experience. They were always available to answer my questions and made a complex legal process easy to understand. Their genuine care and attention to detail gave me peace of mind. Highly recommended for anyone needing reliable legal help.

I was rear ended on my drive to work and car was deemed a total loss. I would have had zero clue what to do but thankfully Halpern Law Firm took care of it. The worst law firm I have EVER worked with. Extremely lazy, incompetent and unprofessional. They will avoid your calls when you call them ( Berta, Jesse Halpern, another associate). I had a car accident case with them and they forgot to get my reimbursement back from the property damage of my CAR. When I told them about it they said their lawyers overlooked that in my file. Not sure how a lawyer can overlook the entire reason I started this case?? I was told they would have to reimburse me themselves since it was THEIR mistake and it’s been months and they’re still dodging my calls and emails. It also took them years to settle my case they honestly do not care about their clients at all. This is an extremely shady practice and I honestly wonder how they’re still in business.

The lack of communication was unacceptable—I was never proactively updated on my case and had to constantly reach out for any information. The attorney assigned to my case, Jesse, did not even remember my name or case details during litigation, which was beyond unprofessional. This demonstrated a clear lack of preparation and care for my case. Even in the final stages, the firm attempted to charge me mysterious and obscure fees that were never clearly explained, claiming they were out-of-pocket costs from the attorneys. This happened at the very last minute when I went to receive my check, making it feel like an intentional effort to take advantage of me. My experience with HalpernLaw Firm was not only unprofessional but also felt unfair and unethical. I would strongly advise anyone considering their services to look elsewhere for a law firm that values transparency, communication, and client advocacy—qualities that Halpern Law Firm failed to uphold.

The WORST experience I’ve ever had with a lawyer and firm. Jesse Halpern constantly had an attitude and down played my case. He did not even remember my name AT THE TRIAL. The communication was extremely inconsistent and confusing. I had to call them multiple times to even reach my attorneys secretary after MONTHS of silence. Stay FAR away from this firm and from Jesse Halpern.

They always had my best interests in mind and went above and beyond in my workers’ compensation case. Marcelo was patient, clear, and supportive throughout the entire process. Marcelo was very communicative and informative about what he was doing. He is very knowledgeable about what it takes to win a case and I definitely would recommend.
