I am 20+ year veteran social worker in the field of protective services. I have worked with many family law firms in that time. I have never observed such unprofessional behavior as I have observed from this firm’s secretary. I’ve been party to two phone calls between the client and the secretary. The client was merely calling for case status update and clarification on paperwork, respectively. The secretary was immediately condescending and dismissive to the client. She would not allow the client to explain her confusion or concerns during either call. At one point she even told the client she needed to get a backbone and stop calling the firm about the concerns. She literally spoke to her as though she was a child. During the last phone call, the client was trying to ascertain some kind of proof from the court that the temporary restraining order had been dismissed to provide to the client’s child’s school, as the school has stated they need the proof to allow the client on campus. The secretary talked over the client stating nothing was needed as it was a temporary order. When I tried to explain to the client that they still need something showing the final outcome of the court proceedings, the secretary began to speak at me rudely and hung up on the client. She was so condescending and rude, did not try to be helpful at all and I’m just bewildered by the behavior.
Do not recommend.
I hired Lane Heginbotham at Harris Law Office and my experience has been extremely disappointing. I paid $6,000 in advance, but my case was not handled with professionalism or care. Communication was poor, deadlines were missed, and no meaningful progress was made. Despite repeated attempts to get updates and results, I received little to nothing in return for the money I paid. In my opinion, this office takes advantage of clients and does not deliver the services promised. I strongly caution anyone considering hiring him—protect yourself and look for an attorney who is trustworthy and accountable.this is the second time I post this review
I hired Harris Law after my original attorney ghosted me. We had a custody case that started in Dec 2021 and didn't really start having any activity until July of 2024. When my attorney wouldn't respond I had to find a new law firm. After a long search ( I don't live in Bell County anymore) they were able to step in and take over. The staff was always very cordial and Mr. Lane Heginbotham was very helpful I really felt confident following his advice and guidance. There was times I felt overwhelmed becuase I was fighting for the safety of my child but he was reassuring and gave me the peace of mind I needed.
I hired Mr. Lane at Harris Law Firm in November 2021 to help me recover money owed by my ex-husband. I paid in full for his services. After almost four years, the only actions taken were two mediations, and my case has gone nowhere.
I’ve sent many emails that are often ignored or answered very late. I’ve also called the office multiple times, and I’m always told someone will call me back, but no one ever does.
I feel extremely disappointed and frustrated with how my case has been handled. I don't see an end in sight 😔
Same here they stole my money no refund lied to me and lied some more I found me a new lawyer got the work done with no problems same work they claim they couldn't do they a joke run 2 years no progress
I am appalled at the unethical lawyer I was "supposedly" a client of for 9 months who did absolutely NOTHING for me despite numerous phone calls. Lacked proper communication, nonetheless, lowest standards, and zero morals.
The biggest joke… I called every week for 6 months on a Will… the two girls couldn’t even keep their story straight in the office. One was saying he is working hard on my Will and the other one saying that he hasn’t had time to do it because he’s had other stuff going on, or he’s out of the country, or he has court, or he’s on the phone we will call you right back or I’ll have him call you. You never hear from nobody and when you call up there they get attitude, when they know something they will let you know, six months later had to hire someone else they had it done in two days.. please do your own homework and beware…
DO NOT PLS, DO NOT GO HERE, THANK ME LATER. THEY WILL PUT OFF YOUR COURT DATE FOR 1 TO 2 YRS..FOR NO REASON, WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY, YOU WILL HAVE TO CALL THEM EVERY DAY TO CHECK UP ON YOUR CASE!
