Currently going through a legal process with them for my husband. Since we already signed a contract and started payment plans we cannot back out. They told my husband he was unlikely to get deported at his check-in so he went anyways and was detained. When reaching out to them about this they said “oh wow he’s our only client who is currently detained”, which makes you think they’d put more urgency into the matter. I had to keep up with the EOIR website to figure out when my husband’s court date would be and keep asking the lawyer about going to speak to him. My husband was granted voluntary departure 6 months ago after being detained for 5 weeks, since then, nobody has reached out to us. When I went to sign legal papers the legal assistant told me “it’s better for us to move to Canada and start over”. Like we’re not paying +$10k to hopefully get him residency. We’ve reached out last month as my husband would like to talk to a lawyer as he hasn’t spoken to one in 6 months, but the secretary keeps telling us to “wait” and when we tell her we have questions for the lawyer, she tells us that she can answer them. She tells us that since my husband was given Voluntary Departure, that he automatically doesn’t get any type of bar, which is false. If you don’t have the legal authority to give legal advice, why give it? We spoke with a legal assistant last month who said she would get a lawyer to reach out to us, and we are still waiting!!!! TLDR: go somewhere else
