Dan responded promptly and offered valuable feedback throughout our conversation. He guided me through several different scenarios, making sure I understood all possible outcomes. This experience gave me a fresh perspective, and I now feel much more confident in my approach. Dan literally changed my life. He came recommended by way of a different lawyer who was working my case who ended up being promoted to judge in the middle of my legal proceeding. I was so scared and had had an awful thing happen to me while working at a VERY large fortune 500 company. It was sort of like David and Goliath going into it… words alone can’t express how trustworthy, patient and kind Dan was to me. I was traumatized and he took things at my pace, gave excellent advice and even told me what advice he wouldn’t give which made me trust him more. We walked away with far more than I would ever have imagined from a trial scenario let alone doing it by way of meditation/settlement beforehand and sidestepped litigation altogether. I didn’t even have to talk about what happened to me with the other side or with the mediator. Dan handled it all, got it approved in the most favorable jurisdiction for my type of suit and brought on a most incredible, complimentary team that knocked it out of the park. I’m humbled and just so totally grateful that there is someone as decent as Dan in this world. I can’t say enough about how well every step of the way was handled. He is 100% a gift from God in a very uncertain arena.

Dan is not like most attorneys. I have been around several for different occasions. This man is genuine. He truly cares about you and will put all effort into your case. He treats you like an actual human being unlike some cases I felt like a chew toy from different attorneys. He is very knowledgeable and will be patient with you. He is a great guy and a great attorney. Recommend to anyone!

Did not retain, however did call. He did seem like he knew what he was talking about, but does not seem like someone with a fighting drive that you would hope for.

Thank you for the rating. As an attorney, I routinely fight cases for multiple years. In the vast majority of long cases, I do not receive pay unless we win or settle in the end. It is no simple task. I am rarely eager to enter litigation because it is hard, costly, emotional, and frustrating. For that reason, any litigant (clients) must be wary of what is ahead. No one should eagerly file suit because the road ahead is very difficult and full of uncertainty.
This attorney took the time to have a 30 minute conversation with me for free to help advise me on a proper course of action. He was very kind, knowledgeable and genuine.

I have had limited consultations with Dan Hayward on two unrelated to each other employment matters. He was prompt in responding, courteous, knowledgeable and realistic. He'd discuss options while reminding me of the intrinsic imbalance of power in right-to-work states; and that one can get terminated for no valid reason or even any reason at all, as long as it's not discrimination against a protected class. I highly recommend this labor/employment attorney.

Called to get info regarding discrimination in my workplace and I was quickly dismissed saying it sounds like emotional distress instead of hearing all of my concerns of discrimination. My phone call with this attorney was like he was representing my workplace.

I am sorry you felt that you had a poor experience. Undertaking a lawsuit is one of the hardest and most grueling things a person can do. Lawsuits frequently persist for multiple years and cost a lot of money. That is why people call attorneys because we have experienced the hardship and success of litigation and trial. Cases must be carefully vetted from day one. I don't sugar coat my opinions and I believe people deserve the honest truth. It is unfortunate if someone is unhappy about the advice they receive, but it will not change the fact that I will continue to offer free and honest case evaluations. I will need to clarify one comment for the public. Emotional distress damages are recoverable in employment lawsuits. It is an actionable legal claim plaintiffs can make; it would not be a dismissal of a claim.
