My husband and I were in a minor accident that ended up causing us a lot of physical trauma and eventually my need for spinal surgery. At first I didn't want to go through an attorney, but soon found out that the process with going through insurance companies on our own was not a smart choice. We decided to call Heuser and Heuser because they were highly recommended for being quick and very helpful. Ben Gifford and his paralegal Janis Kerwin handled our cases and they did not disappoint us. We could not have gotten through it without them and Janis stayed consistently on top of everything, keeping us in the loop and returned my calls when I needed anything. Ben is an excellent negotiator and our settlements were very fair and more than we had even anticipated! They did not take their time working on our case and settled it quickly without it having to go to court, which was what we wanted. I have nothing but positive things to say about them as a team and the rest of the staff was always curtious and friendly. I hope we will never need to hire them again, but if we do, they will be the first we will call and we will always recommend them to anyone who needs a competent team to ge them through a difficult time!

A friend of mine was injured in a car accident several years ago and she chose Heuser & Heuser. She had a good experience so she recommended them to me when I was injured in my car accident. Because of this company, I was able to get all of the healthcare that I needed, which was six months worth.
Everything felt easy, they took care of everything for me and had great communication all along the way. They were great about keeping me updated as things changed and progressed and quickly got back to me whenever I emailed them a question.
In the end, my medical expenses took up most of my settlement. I wasn’t going to get nearly as much as I was hoping for, but Brandon graciously lowered his fee so that I could get double what I was originally going to get. He told me that it didn’t feel right for the company to get more of a cut than me. That really showed to me how much they care at this company and that the employees really have integrity. I’m really grateful for everything they did to help me during such a tough time in my life. I would definitely recommend Heuser & Heuser.

When I first called Heuser & Heuser I was a little skeptical, but immediately following the phone conversation, the company paid for my uber to their office and sat me down with one of their workman's comp attorney and he gave me a run down of exactly what I needed to know about my injury, the case, and what I was accredited to. My attorney (Matt Striegal)
was extremely polite, very caring(actually made me feel as though he were a family member in charge of my well being, he made sure that the insurance company and doctors were actually doing their job and not getting away with screwing me over), and his communication&dedication was most comforting. He stayed more in contact with me than majority of my friends and family. Also their cut/fee % was the lowest out of all the companies I called. I'm not quite sure why you're still reading this review to be honest, by now you should be on the phone with Heuser & Heuser. STOP WAITING AND CALL!!

After my car accident, I realized that I was going to need a good lawyer. I had tens of thousands of dollars in medical bills, rehabilitation expenses, and the need for a new car. I called several law firms in the area, that really didn't seem interested in my case. Finally I called Heuser & Heuser. Almost immediately Ben Gifford returned my call and set things in motion. My anxiety to get representation was finally put to rest, Ben and his staff treated me and my case with the utmost professionalism and really made me feel like I could focus on getting my life back in order. Ben made all the legal jargon easy to understand, and kept me updated as to any changes that came about during the process. After all was said and done with the case, I am pleased to report that my experience with Heuser & Heuser was excellent and certainly exceeded my expectations. I will definitely recommend them to anybody I know that is in need of legal help in the future, and cannot be more thankful for their excellent services!

If I could leave more stars, I would. I worked with Matt Striegel out of the Pueblo office and I couldn't be more satisfied with the outcome. My case took about a year from start to finish, and Matt had more patience and understanding throughout the entire process. He was very professional, prompt, courteous and patient. I feel like he fought for me and in the end got me everything I deserved and more. Not only Matt deserves more stars, but his entire office staff does as well. They were very diligent, friendly, and on top of everything in a very timely manner. I was able to cover my medical expenses and on top of that, had enough left over to work on starting up my own business. I would highly recommend Matt to take on a workers compensation case. I almost feel like I was family during the entire process. That says a lot in this day and age. I am hoping I never have to go through this again, but if I do... I know who to call! I was very excited to work with Heuser and Heuser after my initial call with the investigator where he seemed very confident that they would be able to help me with my case. After speaking with him, a later call was set to talk to the attorney. When I spoke with the attorney I was informed that he would not be taking my workers comp case because of the type of injury. But he did tell me that he believed I was entitled to benefits and encouraged me to "seek counsel elsewhere" if I think I need it. Very strange... I guess just be aware that just because the investigator says they can help you, you may still be dropped when you talk to the attorney. Very discouraging

Everyone at the office treated us so kindly. We didn’t know where to start when we got into a really bad car accident but they took great care of us. They had excellent communication and explained the work comp claim process every step of the way as well as what to expect. Matt was able to light a fire under the claims adjuster to make sure that my medical appointments and treatments were approved and scheduled much faster than before I hired Heuser & Heuser. The only thing I would change about my experience would be to have hired them sooner. You will not be treated fairly in a workman's compensation claim without an attorney so if you need an attorney I recommend Heuser & Heuser 100%.

I started with Heuser in 2018. I was in over my head with a workman's comp case, and brought it to Gordon. He was amazing! When he and Carla took over, all I had to do was make my appointments, check in with them, and finish PT. We even had to go to court where Gordon easily pulled out a win for me and I received an amazing compensation. The original offer from work comp was peanuts compared to what Gordon got. My case took about a year from start to finish, and Matt had more patience and understanding throughout the entire process. He was very professional, prompt, courteous and patient. After my car accident, I hired Heuser & Heuser. They were compassionate, professional, and checked on me often during the lawsuit. They walked me through every step and ran all decisions past me first. I felt my concerns were met and that my time and input mattered. My lawyer in particular, Judge Patrick Salt, treated us like family. They were able to obtain money from the insurance companies of the other driver to pay off my hefty medical bills. They successfully sued for $95,000 and we've been able to use that money on remodeling our house. If I were in another accident, I'd hire Heuser & Heuser again right away.

Wow talk about not looking out for clients best interest. Turns out my wife’s case wasn’t a high enough payout and they actually had to fight for us and they chickened out. They dropped our case with so much of an explanation only and convoluted letter in the mail. We called several times to get answers and all we got was run around and lies about not being available. They ghosted us for 3 months with no answers all while my wife sat in pain. When I went down to get answers I was assaulted by them. Cops were called and of course they lied and said they never payed hands on me. I was forced into a corner and unable to leave keep in mind I just had surgery and told them this and they continued to have hands on. My daughter had a case with them and once they found out her payout wasn’t big enough they tried to walk away until I called them out on it.

Nope don’t do it. Once they find out they can make any money off you they make you feel worthless and kick you to the curb. The slightest bit of resistance from the insurance company and these guys walk away and don’t do anything for you except give you lies and excuses why they can’t finish your case. Spend the money on a retainer on a real lawyer and fight for your worth because these guys won’t.

I cant thank Heuser and Heuser enough for all that they have done for me with my case. In March of 2019 I got hit by a car while walking the crosswalk going into the building where I work the lady was not paying attention. I had to go to physical therapy because where she hit me was my lower back area. Knowing that I would have medical bills to pay and hospital visit cost I called Heuser and Heuser they got to work right away on the case. Before the settlement Gordon and his legal team kept me up to date on the case. They were very professional and helpful and Gordon took the time to listen about the accident and from there he determined how much we could get for the case not only were all my bills payed for but the amount I got for my case surprised me. My mother was involved in a serious traffic accident in March. The consultation with Pat Salt was very informative. Once the Heuser team was on the case we had updates often and communication was responded to quickly. After only 6 months the case was settled with a large monetary award. While the goal to hire an attorney was not necessarily for financial gain but to make sure the overwhelming medical bills were taken care of and to protect my parents interests it was a the happy byproduct of the insurance protection. What can I say about Heuser & Heuser? When I first called Heuser & Heuser I was a little skeptical, but immediately following the phone conversation, the company paid for my uber to their office and sat me down with one of their workman's comp attorney and he gave me a run down of exactly what I needed to know about my injury, the case, and what I was accredited to. My attorney (Matt Striegal)
was extremely polite, very caring(actually made me feel as though he were a family member in charge of my well being, he made sure that the insurance company and doctors were actually doing their job and not getting away with screwing me over), and his communication&dedication was most comforting. He stayed more in contact with me than majority of my friends and family. Also their cut/fee % was the lowest out of all the companies I called. I'm not quite sure why you're still reading this review to be honest, by now you should be on the phone with Heuser & Heuser. STOP WAITING AND CALL!!

I am overall impressed with the team and Mr.Salt. They always called right back with answers to my questions. They would call me and keep in touch when it seemed like the process took for ever they showed they cared about me. They have my case still...but I wish they didn't, thus the reason I have to post with an alias. The head Paralegal is so fake and insincere. She lies to clients so I can imagine she lies to the attorneys too. Also they might want to remind her she is not an Attorney. This was confirmed by hearing a few employees talking, they were not subtle about her manipulation of which cases are "important". I guess mine isn't. Seems she is not truthful to them either and everyone at the firm is miserable. You can find better places to handle your case, ones that don't have such questionable ethics.

I had gotten into a car accident this past summer (2019) I was rear ended into another vehicle, and was devastated! My car was totalled, I was injured and had to take time off work, my first thought was what am I gonna do now. I got hurt on the job seriously and was told things would go good, left me with no medical treatment left me with two months of backup bills, nearly lost my home, and had to go back to work with the injuries to pay my bills. Unless it’s in there best befits they will waste your time and leave you broken. Nothing for them leaves you nowhere. Please understand that I I was in a accident caused by a uninsured unlisenced person who was driving a vehicle that didn't belong to her, not even supposed to be driving and was already being followed by two other vehicles that we're witnessed to her carless driving for miles up until she hits me and tried to drive off. I was injured she was not, my attorney assignment was Patrick Salt, I was told that I would be in good hands with him due to him being a former judge, and prosecutor? I had went to my Dr. Appointments where my Dr. had then refered me to a pain management specialist and was and am still being seen every month to every two months ago and my regular dr. Appointments, I also let the attorney know my mother was stage 4 pancreatic cancer and dying and that my pain I had couldn't in my own self couldn't compare to my heart for my Mom. The attorney didn't care he tried multiple times to drop my case due to not enough Dr appointment? We lost my mother 1/26 of this month he dropped my case yesterday? Heartless is Patrick Salt? I'll let you decide? He called me for dr. Info? After it was provided to him of myself who my primary was, never even followed up on my other dr.s that idI seen even after I told him who was with what Dr s? Idk idI question the morals and values of a attorney like this and seek someone who has compassion and a heart, not a commercial lawyer looking for a slam dunk not have to do nothing,get paid for your pain type of person like this? When I was injured 1 year ago today on the job, my husband and I were pretty overwhelmed by the whole process. We decided to hire an attorney to help guide us through the process. We researched several attorneys on google, none of them impressed us except for Heuser & Heuser. I called them and we were able to meet some one that day in the office. We met initial with Jim, the intake specialist, he was a great guy, very honest, and said it like it was. We decided after that initial contact this was the right law firm.
Before we left we made another appointment to meet with our attorney. When we cam back in we were greeted respectfully every time by the staff up front. Thank you for that. We were introduced to Matt Striegel, he has his own firm in Pueblo, but works with Heuser & Hueser. He was very professional every time we talked on the phone and in person. We were confident in his ability to help us, we even got a chance to to meet Gordon Heuser in person, what a great guy. He really does look like the guy in the commercials. He is also very down to earth and very easy to talk to. Gordon was involved in our case with Matt every step.
After 1 year of fighting the dreaded insurance company we were able to settle our case on 5/17/2018. After the legal fees were taken out, which were very reasonable we ended up with a fair settlement to take home.
In short (lol) Heuser&Heuser is by far a great law firm to work with, they made us feel comfortable with every decision we made. If I ever have to hire another attorney for what ever reason, the only one I will seek out will be Heuser & Heuser.
