I’m still on my appeal from the hearing but I have to say hogan smith is absolutely awful it’s like they don’t even try they just hope you can basically get it on your own with them just being there so they can get an easy payday they wanted me to do all the leg work for them every time I reached out I can never get ahold of anyone but the person at the front desk I have to show that I’m mad that I can never get ahold of someone to get them to magically get someone for me and during my hearing my attorney barely even spoke even when the judge asked him if he had anything to add after all this I’m not hopeful one bit I’m basically just waiting for my denial letter again not to mention it says that when appealing a hearing that there is a 99% chance of getting denied again with seeing that and how little I feel hogan smith has tried with representing me I know it’s a denial already I hope people see this before they waste their time like I did when hiring an attorney to represent you for disability you should be confident they will do their job and also at ease not with them it feels like nothing but a lost cause

I Truly dont know how I could get through this process without them. I can message them anytime for anything possible. I've even messaged them how I'm feeling and they always reach back out to me.

I have been dealing with Hogan Law since December 2025 regarding my SSI claim. I was eventually approved, and I am still working with them on another claim that was also approved. Throughout this entire process, the biggest issue has been communication—or the complete lack of it. My case manager was changed, and I wasn’t even informed. I went nearly two months without knowing I had a new case manager. Calls go unanswered, messages go without responses, and getting updates on my own case feels impossible. I’ve complained about these communication issues multiple times, spoken with management multiple times, and nothing changes. The response is always, “We’re sorry for the inconvenience,” but the problem never gets fixed. At one point, I literally had to beg them to fax paperwork to the Social Security Administration. Instead of them keeping me informed, I constantly have to keep them updated. It feels like I’m doing their job for them. What really frustrates me is seeing all these glowing reviews. What people don’t realize is that they push hard for reviews almost immediately after taking your case. They’ll ask for a positive review before they’ve even done much work on your behalf. Having a case for a week is not enough time to know whether the service is actually good. They advertise that they handle everything and all you need to do is attend your doctor appointments and Social Security appointments. That has not been my experience. I have spent countless hours making calls, tracking information down, following up, and making sure things get done myself. At the end of the day, they expect to receive 25% of your back pay, but I have often felt like I was the one doing the work while struggling to get basic communication from the people representing me. If a law firm truly values its clients, communication should be a priority. Clients should not have to repeatedly fight for updates or wonder who is even handling their case. What makes this even more frustrating is that I have already threatened to drop them before because of these same issues. That should have been a wake-up call that something needed to change. Instead, nothing changed. The communication problems continued, the lack of follow-through continued, and it became clear that they were not concerned about losing a client. When a client repeatedly raises concerns and even considers leaving, you would expect some effort to fix the situation. I have not seen that effort. After months of dealing with the same issues and seeing no improvement, I’m seriously considering dropping them altogether. This process has become exhausting, and quite honestly, it feels like I’m working for them instead of them working for me.

Within 24 hrs I was assigned a caseworker his name is Harris and he was so kind and patient and made sure I understood everything and even offered to walk me through all the paperwork page by page and told me about the firms mental and emotional help councilors available and knowing my circumstances offered to set me up a appointment and even agreed to send me a reminder ! What a great guy and a wonderful start! I've been fighting to get benefits for years and had lost hope. Harris and the firm has given that back to me and I see light at the end of that dark tunnel.
