I have known Attorney Lyles for approximately 20 years, during which we primarily worked on Wills and then codicils to Wills. However, in February of 2024 a friend of mine died and I was the executor for her estate. I was a little concerned about my tackling such a project at my advanced age of 82 at that time. But here we are at the end of the road in October of 2025 (age 83) and I must say that it was an enlightening experience. Mr. Lyles's first question to me at our initial consultation was to ask how much of the process did I want to handle. My response was as much as I possibly could. And, true to his word, Mr. Lyles allowed this rookie to do what I could, which actually turned our to be quite a lot. Of course, I peppered him with a million questions and he never failed to be there for me when I needed him most. For instance, late one Friday he noticed an email that I had posted, which had a deadline attached to it. That deadline would occur during the weekend and outside of business hours. And sure enough, late that evening I received a return email that helped me to complete that issue without penalty. In addition, when I was over my head in a couple of areas, all I needed to do was to touch base with him, explain my dilemma and he handled those particular issues for me. He is quite knowledgeable regarding the law and probate and he has structures in place in his office protocol to facilitate certain aspects of the probate process. He and his staff are most efficient. Anyone reading this will probably get the message that Jared Lyles is one savvy gentleman regarding the law. He will do or not do as much as is asked of him. But he will keep you out of trouble! He has perfected the art of being "hands on" and "hands off." I would recommend him highly and thank him for always being there for me when he somehow knew that I needed the support. It was a wonderful experience in this chapter of my life.
