Some lawyers have tried to squeeze me through their cookie approach but Jeff took the time to sit down with me and go over what I had. It was difficult sorting through all the different attorneys that represent bankruptcies. We came across Jeff Field & Associates and we felt comfortable in calling about how to proceed with them. We were behind in doing our taxes and that was one of their first requirements. We got them done and then made the appointment with the list of information they needed to start the process. One thing I liked was that they get you doing the financial training course while they are getting the whole process set up. This is good to get it out of the way because when the court asks if you have done it, you have the certificate to give them. I believe if it is left up to the individual to do it later it will hold up the process all around. So from then on we felt comfortable to stay with them to help us and take the ride to the end. Never done a bankruptcy before so it was really a shot in the dark with so many firms to choose from. I was so lucky I picked Jeff Field & Associates. I called their office and within seconds I was speaking with a helpful associate who was happy to answer my questions; that’s right, a helpful, thoughtful human being not an AI answering machine. Throughout the entire process they were just a phone call away to help with any questions and never made me feel dumb or silly for asking questions about the process. To the contrary, they not only helped me with all of the technical parts, they were even there for me for the emotional parts that come with the process of going through a bankruptcy, the anxiety that comes with uncertainty inherent in a very personal process like this.
