I called three attorneys in Yuma. Julie was the only one who made me feel like she represented "me," rather than "my case." I specifically chose Julie because of her honesty in telling me that, "truthfully, you probably don't need me. All you need to do is..." After working diligently on my case, she even refunded (even though she didn't need to or was even asked to) a portion of my retainer when my case ended up being an "easy" one. Far and away the best attorney I've ever dealt with. I would recommend Julie highly to anyone in need of legal advice.

Public defender had suggested I take 8 years for a crime I didn't even commit. She made it so I didn't get any extra time and eventually helped me get misdemeanors off of my record

Julie is honest and tells it like it is. As the mother of her client she went out of her way to keep me informed about my daughter and her case. She gave the information that I needed to help me get through this awful time. She never made me feel like I was bothering her when I would email her with questions and her response time was so quick. Everything she has told me about how things would probably go, they did go that way. No surprises. She talked to my daughter in a way that she might not have liked hearing yet my daughter likes her and listened to her. This is still not over but Julie is still as passionate about helping my daughter and helping me in turn . She's amazing .

Julie McDonald came through when she was needed desperately! The public defender said my son might get 10 more years so we went to Julie upon a recommendation. She was very professional and went the extra mile to assure my son was moved to a safe place, no extra time, concurrent sentences and was very supportive. Essentially, my son owes his life to her effective defense and her knowledge of the system. He is now a successful member of the community helping others with mental health and substance abuse issues. It could have gone very badly if we relied on the public defender.
