I had an exceptional experience working with David Kotwicki on an employment matter. He jumped in quickly, understood the situation right away, and handled every aspect of the case with confidence and professionalism. What started as a very stressful situation—with the possibility of me owing my former employer thousands of dollars—ended with the complete elimination of that payment and a significant settlement in my favor. David managed all communications and negotiations seamlessly, keeping me informed at every step and relieving an incredible amount of stress in the process. He was straightforward, easy to understand, and very fair in his pricing. The outcome far exceeded my expectations, and the return on investment was truly remarkable. I genuinely enjoyed working with David and would recommend him without hesitation to anyone seeking an employment lawyer. His expertise, responsiveness, and results speak for themselves. Side note - I absolutely can't understand the negative reviews here. They are not at all or in any way reflective of what I experienced working with David.

Initially David seems very caring and understanding about my wrongful termination case. I had provided all the documentation to him and we agreed to meet face to face in his office. When we first talked it was in Dec 2024 and with the holidays and new year approaching we agreed to meet after the first of the year. Something came up the day before our first meeting and we rescheduled. Then something else came up. Again and again and again something came up. 11 times he had to cancel our meetings. After the 11 time he had to reschedule I sent him a text letting him know that I was going to find another attny. He immediately called and said, "I had no idea it was that many times"... And asked if we could meet the next Monday. I contacted him via text the Satruday before our meeting to let him know that I had just been invited to a recurring Monday conference call (I had just started a new job the Monday prior) and I we would have to reschedule. He did not acknowledge or return that text message. The following Friday I text him again letting him know I was sorry for needing to reshcedule the previous Monday appt and that my rigorous training schedule was complete and if he could give me some dates he was available we could finally meet. He did not respond. I have read others on here that seem to have had the exact same experience. While our cases may not be a big deal for him, they are BIG for us. I wish I knew the reasons to be pushed me off 11 times and then finally ignored me.

I was looking for attorney to represent me in a whistleblowers suit in 2000, and fortunately found David in the Yellow Pages primarily because he listed "Labor" as one of the areas in which he practiced. At that time David was relatively new to the profession, yet provided an incredible service going up against the seasoned attorney my previous employers (a national Oil & Gas industry corporation) had hired. The trial had been scheduled for four days, but concluded in three. An unanimous verdict ruled in our favor. I would hire him again in a heart beat.

Mr. Kotwicki was highly referred to me by a mutually respected friend. Both my husband and I initially met with him approximately 1 year prior to retaining his legal representation. Please note that this was my own personal decision to hold off on utilizing his professional representation. As my unspoken 'former employer" had put me through "hell" after enduring a wrongful termination. All while my husband was in the ICU and 2 mins away from dying. I personally reached back out to Mr. Kotwicki to represent me in an EEOC wrongful termination negotiation settlement. As no other attorney would take my case. Rather, they advised me from their legal expertise that I didn't have a case. A case that I knew within my heart that my ADA Federal rights were violated and received above mentioned wrongful termination. Despite not retaining Mr. Kotwicki from the beginning. He remained professional and willing to represent me when I no longer could during the EEOC settlement negotiations. As unspoken employer or any employer will try to pay as little as possible once you've proven your case/they were found at fault. Mr. Kotwicki was honored to represent me and in overseeing a fair and favorable outcome. Mr. Kotwicki is very trusting, honest, upfront, and only charged me exactly what was disclosed to me and agreed upon. Which is included in the attorney client agreement to sign and copy received. Please know when Mr. Kotwicki takes on your case, there are no hidden agendas or undisclosed fees. He is very thorough and will oversee and follow-up on your case to the end. To include the proper settlement achieved and received based on individuals case/monetary dispersement. He helped me in a way no other attorney would do. Highly recommend Mr. Kotwicki, Attorney for any employment discrimination, wrongful termination or EEOC representation. .

Cannot understand the negative comments about Mr. Kotwicki. He was the answer to our prayers. Mr. Kotwicki worked tirelessly to represent us in a lengthy lawsuit. It was a typical David and Goliath type case. My husband had been terminated from a Global oil and gas company. David had our backs every step of the way. Earning an epic settlement for us. He is well worth the cost! Wishing there were more like him!

Steer clear of this attorney at all costs. My experience with David Kotwicki was absolutely disappointing, anxiety inducing and maddening. This guy took almost an entire month to produce a demand letter that I basically had already written for him. I had everything documented in great detail with screenshots etc. He essentially changed the letter to the third person and copied and pasted legal jargon. Despite the small amount of work this project demanded, he came up with every excuse in the book to continue to put me off. Excuses include and are not limited to: issues at his wife’s office, his son’s soccer game, his daughter’s prom, sickness throughout the family, gastrointestinal issues, a headache etc…He kept giving me deadlines and pushing back citing any number of those excuses. He never even produced a letter for me to review until AFTER I got my male friend involved who called him out for dragging his feet. Then, magically he had a couple pages done…If that weren’t enough, he kept bringing up the fact that he wanted to do the job on a contingent basis SEVERAL TIMES rather than hourly which is what we agreed to on our first phone consult. So unprofessional. It became very clear that he did not want to prioritize my case since he knew he wouldn’t get paid as much hourly as he would contingent. When he realized what my what my severance was going to be, he decided to nickel and dime me for every single text message sent. It’s my opinion that he VASTLY padded his hours. $6200 is simply insane for a normal demand letter and negotiation. There were no extenuating circumstances and my case was very straightforward. Yet, he insisted on overcomplicating it and dragging it out to continue to bill me. In the end, I requested that my severance be paid via direct deposit. He went OVER MY HEAD and arranged to intercept my money via paper check instead. At that point, I had had ENOUGH. This guy caused me an intense amount of undue pain, suffering and anxiety in an already stressful situation. On top of it, he tried to rob me blind. How nice when I’m literally pregnant and unemployed. Avoid this guy at all costs unless you love hearing about someone’s gastrointestinal issues while they blow you off and you overpay them.

Always promised to help, but always came up with excuses. Not someone I would ever recommend to anyone. I understand having problems sometimes, but every week it was new excuse. I would suggest no one go to him.

Never returned emails or phone calls even to tell me he couldn't help me.
