This attorney was highly unprofessional in my experience. Communication was inconsistent at best and nonexistent at worst. Phone calls and emails went unanswered, follow ups were ignored, and I was repeatedly “ghosted” despite being told verbally that he was representing me. He requested that I send legal documentation before any engagement agreement was signed or formalized, which raised significant concerns for me. At no point was there a clear contract in place, yet he continued to imply that representation had begun. Clients deserve transparency, responsiveness, and proper professional procedure. Based on my experience, those standards were not met. I will be reporting these practices to the Utah State Bar for further review.

Talk about an attorney who puts himself in your shoes! Get this: One attorney made fun of my PTSD in front of the Utah Bar, and I believe that’s because he doesn’t understand anxiety and trauma. Conversely, Attorney Holdsworth does not act like a therapist or a doctor. He’s an ethical, experienced, compassionate, and trustworthy attorney. What I love the most about his approach is that he answers my questions; he doesn’t pretend to know how I feel; he asks me, updates me on the development of a case, and shows up in court on time. You can tell I’m proud to call him my attorney! Update — December 16, 2025 More than two years ago, during my EEOC case against CWI, Attorney Holdsworth encouraged me to pursue mediation. At the time, CWI’s lawyers disagreed. Fast forward to today: Judge Brailsford has ordered settlement mediation. Why does this matter? Because good lawyers recognize,often well in advance,when a case has reached the point where settlement discussions are appropriate. That kind of foresight comes from experience, judgment, and strategic clarity. Will I settle, or choose to tell my story before a jury? Time will tell!

Absolutely incredible experience. Was scrambling to meet with an attorney to see if I had a wrongful termination case against a former employer and David was the only one that called back and agreed to a call to feel it out before scheduling an in person meeting. He was a great listener, offered great advice, and even went through the severance documentation and provided direction and feedback from experience. Best part? He initially didn’t want me to pay and I insisted and we agreed on a very fair and reasonable price. David’s the best!!

I have had David for almost 2 years and have rarely spoken with him. He is very unreliable in returning phone calls and informing me about my case. I kinda feel like he ran off with my money?

You guys know I’m always honest with my reviews. Called David a half hour before a mediation. This kind man stood at my mediation until the final offer. What attorney takes a case emergency basis?!? This man is a good man. Knows his stuff. Worth every moment and I would’ve paid more than what he asked, honestly. He’s understanding and patient. If he’s not already earning your business, I hope he does. Don’t take my word for it (you should).

I wish I had good things to say about him. He is a very kind man, however very disorganized and really dropped the ball on my case. It seemed like he wasnt really qualified to deal with my specific case and I wish he would have just not accepted it in the first place, maybe then I would have had a chance. Getting in contact with him was always a struggle, I would show up for our scheduled meetings and he would ask me to come back in an hour because he overbooked. He also could never get the information needed for the case which was the whole reason I hired him. Even when I got a fianl decesion, he never reached out at all or asked if I wanted to proceed any further. If you have a case that is a based soley on mental health, I would recommend finding another lawyer.

Dave is an amazing help in tough situations and even reached out over the weekend. I appreciate that he met in a rehabilitation center since we couldn't get my father in his office. I would highly recommend his services.
