If I could give 0 stars I would give them 0 stars. On February 2, 2025, I submitted documents to case manager Robert Kwon regarding my citations for driving with a suspended license and excessive window tint. Mr. Kwon informed me that the attorney's services would cost $1,300.00 to handle my case. However, no contract was provided outlining the scope of the law firm's services nor was I informed I would be billed on an hourly basis. After taking my fees, the office did not explain what they would do to help my case. As my court date was approaching for my ticket, I followed up with Mr. Kwon on February 05, 2025 to check the status of my case but received no clear updates. Due to the lack of communication and progress, I requested a refund on February 16, 2025. Mr. Kwon refused, prompting me to inform him that I would report the matter to the Georgia State Bar.
Shortly after, attorney Kennon Peebles, Jr. contacted me, offering to refund 50% of the $1,300.00 on the condition that I sign an agreement not to "disparage" their law firm. I then requested a breakdown of the fees justifying why the full amount was not being refunded. Mr. Peebles provided an invoice stating that attorney services were billed at $250.00 per hour while non-attorney staff work was billed at $125.00 per hour. Upon reviewing the invoice, I noticed several questionable charges. Fore example, I was billed for 2.9 hours of communication with case manager Mr. Kwon, despite our interactions being brief and primary via text, consisting mostly of me requesting case updates. I am certain our
communication did not amount to 2.9 hours of billable time, raising concerns about the firm's billing practices and ethical standards. On February 21, 2025, I gave the law office a final opportunity to return my money in exchange for not reporting the issue to the State Bar of Georgia. They refused to issue a refund.
EVERYONE DO NOT USE THIS FIRM’S SERVICES! THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL AND PREDATORY.
Don't waste time or money . This Law Firm is NOT capable to win your case. There will be no updates on your case unless the Law Firm need the payment from you . I am contacting State Bar of GA regarding this Business .
I have got an accident on August 2014, and the case finally ended on April 2017. If you are patient enough and have a lot of time, go ahead and discuss with them.
I was hit by dui driver, which can be considered as a how easy to win and earn money, however I still cannot understand how they could not make me enough money and they cannot really discuss with the hospital for my medical payment. As a result, they could not even make money they promised me whan the case began.
I really am regreting that I have met him, the assistant, Robert Kwon, in my church for the first time in my life I got an severe accident like this.
I will start by going straight to the point. If you’re loaded with too much money and if your dream is to be incarcerated for a minor misdemeanor charge then you should definitely retain this law firm. Not only do you get to spend a lot of money you get to be treated in a most condescending manner by the “Office Administrator” and also get to vacation in a real jail.
I’m going to write in 2 parts, 1 for the attorney Kennon Peebles, and 1 for the “Office Administrator” Robert Kwon. If you don’t have much time nor the patience to read my whole review, I recommend just going straight to the 2nd part regarding the “Office Administrator” Robert Kwon.
First, the Attorney Peebles :
He met the prosecutor/solicitor for the first time at the court hearing and was told that the solicitor is seeking a real jail time which he responded by just postponing the court hearing date for 1 month later. Although he had additional 1 month to prepare for the postponed court hearing he again showed up without any preparation. And obviously he was told the same thing about seeking real jail time by the solicitor so he asked for the postponement again. Now 2nd postponement and his confidence of claiming that he will get my case dismissed seemed to be all gone. In our first meeting, Peebles strongly claimed that he can and will get my misdemeanor charge be dismissed. The most disappointing thing was his action of trying to make a deal with me instead of making a deal or at least talking with the prosecuting office, he asked what if jail time was half of a month, how many days I would say OK to, etc., What kind attorney did like that!
Secondly, the “Office Administrator” Robert Kwon :
The incompetence of the attorney Peebles is not as big of a problem compared to his office administrator, Robert Kwon’s attitude and demeanor. As mentioned in other reviews, the way he treats his clients is worse than you can imagine. At first he will make you think he might be an associate attorney, but you will find out that he’s just an office administrator only after you look at his business card. As soon as you engage in few conversations regarding your case it becomes mystery how some one with such impolite, actually “bitchy” attitude can work as an office administrator. The pretentious and condescending way of talking to you is one thing, to a question if he will come to the court (keep in mind I’ve basically talked to him mostly and talked to Peebles only once, and didn’t quiet understand his position, etc,) he said he comes if I pay separate extra fee for him and said other clients usually do so. According to what he said, he probably earns much more than the Attorney Peebles. After the 1st hearing when the 1st postponement was made I’ve even paid more (stupid me thought more money meant they will pay more attention to my case), but I’ve realized I just couldn’t rely on their office when I didn’t get any call backs till just 1 day prior to the actual hearing date. How can he be only available on the phone when payment was being made then for nearly a month till the hearing date no contact was feasible what so ever. So on the 1st postponed hearing date, when Peebles got 2nd postponement, as soon as I got out of the Court, I’ve fired him and hired another attorney.
My new attorney got in contact with the prosecuting office within 4 days and my case got officially dismissed. If you need an attorney just google, you can just google search a “super lawyer”. The amount of money you would spend in using a “super lawyer” is same as how much you would end up spending, if you retain a law office of Kennon Peebles. Incompetence for that much amount of money is fraud!
First time I have ever been thoroughly disgusted with the performance of any "professional". Save your time, money and stress and please either consult a real lawyer or if money is a problem, you are much better off handling whichever case you may have yourself.
I also just want to add I have never gone out of my way to write a bad review.
