Better off flushing your money straight down the toilet. Promised the world, then after a huge retainer, I guess he decided he didn't want to go up against opposing counsel. Made every excuse/motion under the sun to avoid that confrontation while charging us thousands of dollars and pushing to settle for less than nothing. Finally got rid of him. Filed one Pro Se motion after a ton of self investigation/education. Got exactly what we had been after all along. You will regret paying this charlatan. (FLUSH)

phil hineman esq should be locked up. he is a thief and a liar and he does not pay his bills. i did some process serving for mr hineman in blythe ca. and he refuses to pay for services rendered. mr hineman is a stain on the legal field community.

Let me start off by saying this review is for Phil Hinemans family law services, I was served with paperwork trying to relocate my kids to a different state against their will and suddenly found myself in the middle of a relocation battle for my kids, I can tell you from this long experience that going to court and waiting and waiting for a decision made by someone else that can impact your life so much is stressful and will bring on a lot of anxiety... Thank God I had Mr. Hineman by my side, he explained everything so well and took the time to make sure I understood what my rights were. Mr. Hineman and I always had excellent communication thru this 10 month process. He took the time to explain that this is a lengthy process and really helped keep me calm and informed, and most of all looking professional when the time came. Mr. Hineman was so attentive to every inch of detail and showed that he cared about this family and it showed in court with how hard he fought for us. I can happily say that we won our case and my kids get to stay with the majority of their family which is what we all wanted. Mr. Hineman was very knowledgeable on the subject of family law and I couldn't imagine going thru this with anyone else on my side. Choosing The Law Office of Phil Hineman has been the best decision in my life. Thank you Phil for your support and helping to keep this family together, I cant say it enough!

Mr. Hineman provided me with the guidance and representation I needed to win my case. There were multiple times that I wanted to give into my ex's unreasonable demands so that I would be left alone and things would be "easier," but, thankfully, Mr. Hineman continued to remind me that what I was being bullied into was not in the best interest for my child. He advocated for me to have temporary orders put in place so that I could at least have something to back me while I waited trial. He helped me prepare for my trial by informing me of the questions he would be asking me and why or why not my responses were adequate. This gave me the confidence that I needed in court. Had he not done this, I fear my answers would have been too vague and not won my case. He also made sure to acknowledge all of my notes that contradicted what the opposing side was saying and included them in my rebuttal as well. After over a year of feeling like I was drowning as a result of a terrible separation, I feel like I can finally breathe again.

Worst experience with an attorney I have ever had. Never even met him, incompetent legal assistants did everything (poorly).

Phil was nothing short of amazing until he was paid in full. Now my phone calls and emails have been ignored for almost a year. Phil won my case but then did not follow up with the judge about the attorneys fees being compensated for the apparently files a garnishment case for payment of what I was owed by my ex and now I've heard absolutely nothing. None I'd my calls or email have been returned or even acknowledged. 15k was alot of money to ghost your client and not follow through til the end of my case. Do yourself a favor and call someone else for your legal needs.

Read yelp reviews and all others! Attorneys and doctors you can never win! I should have left this review sooner. This is the worst experience I've ever had with an attorney. I picked Mr. Hineman because he happens to have an office in Yuma, hence he wasn't going to charge me for driving there (3 hours from Phoenix). He was a sweet old attorney until I paid him retainer fee of $5k then he turned into a bully who wouldn't answer any questions about my case. He continuously acted as if I was lying and he kept asking me to shut up and listen a lot of people don't listen. When I confronted him about this and told him he had made a grown woman cry he said he was "sand-papering" me. The day of the hearing he asked me to meet him in his Yuma office to go over everything, we'll he never arrived. His assistant then asked me to take documents to him and meet him in court, which I was a few minutes late to because I was waiting for him. I had to take him the documents! In court he was constantly checking his phone and kept calling my ex by my last name, I had to correct him two times. He said my ex accused me of destroying his things when he was accusing me of doing witchcraft, totally incorrect. I fired him a week after talking to other attorneys and paralegals and submitted a complaint to AZ Bar they said we could do a fee dispute, wow no help there. He charged me $7k for this joke of a representation! He said I could disregard the balance of $2k. BEWARE! Do your research and find someone who is professional and respectful, isn't burnt out and won't steal your money. If I knew he was going to charge this much I would have gone somewhere else.

Mr. Hineman is a great family lawyer! Highly recommended!! I don’t know where to start; there are so many great things about Mr. Hineman. He is very informative, he cares for his clients, and he gets the job done. You won’t be disappointed!

All I can say is EXCEPTIONAL! Phil has been my go to guy for over 10 years now. I am always impressed by his professionalism, timeliness, attention to detail and his ability to always deliver! Thank you again!

I hired Mr. Phil Hineman to help me get my rights to my son. He responded very quickly and took my case. Mr. Hineman explained the procedures I had to take and everything I needed for court. He was very helpful and very responsive to any questions I had. He is a very good lawyer and I'm glad I choose Mr. Hineman.
