Manatee State Attorney

First I would like to recognize Ena, she is a fantastic employee and we all are lucky to have someone like her that is not afraid to be thorough and do the work. Ena uncovered many issues and is actively working to resolve them for me. She is the only reason this is not a 1 star review. As for the bad stuff, Manatee severely dropped the ball after the case in which I was the “victim” left the hands of the detectives and police officers. Once in the system, all three defendants cases have been dragged out for almost a year. In that year, I have called the SAO to correct my current address at least twice, I have called to try to get my property released at least three times, and I have called to notify them I have not been receiving communications about the status of restitution multiple times as well. Now come to find out they have begun to close the cases without even trying to do the correct steps to get me the restitution the defendants agreed to pay, or my property released either. I am so grateful to have gotten Ena on the phone today, there is finally an end in sight with her working to fix mistakes of previous attorneys and I’m assuming her coworkers as well.

DA Officer really helpful and knowledgeable. Everyone in office way nice and helpful as well.

Let’s start with people that suffers from mental illness ( proof before the addiction) provided in courts.putting a person suffered mental illness all there life in jail.is a problem, there is something wrong with state attorney office and who make the decisions! Its terrible and sad how they mistreat people under psychiatric care all there life.and the family members that respect court system and state attorney only want a WIN. When mental illness and addiction is together ( no stealing, No killing,No robbing,No attacking no rapping. No sale drugs,No crimes ! Just putting in jail for months because mental illness and addiction I Pray for a better system that helps mental ill people and the ones that have mental illness and addictions and on top of that when your black person with mental illness . NO chance

Horrible. Vary unethical . Use work emails to do personal business .Vary unprofessional when you call the office. Use there job title to get what they want .I would stay far far away from this county . This office needs to be looked at by ethics committee in Tallahassee. One star is for the nice carpet they have and sound proof walls they had installed.

It is strange how long it takes to get connected with someone. Then the return of a call. Mail dated the 8th August yet didn't arrive 16th.

Not helpful for the research needed.
