Matt and his team really helped my mom and I with our real estate trusts. Even with complications, they were super helpful and friendly and guided as each step of the way.

I had a very disappointing experience with Matt and his office staff. My case was in process for just shy of 3 years with the majority of communication initiated by me asking for status on my case. His office manager, Janelle, would text me at crazy hours in the morning 4:30am, 6:30am, asking me to send documents the office already had and were confirmed by Matt. Matt stated he had received other complaints about Janelle so he moved her from Office Manager to merely doing Discovery and was looking to hire someone else. Months later he hired Tu. Tu was better, but I often had to send follow up emails as the first ones were not responded to. When requesting a phone meeting with Matt, he always started the conversation telling me how rushed he was and how he has so many other clients to address that are in crisis. I never felt valued. On more than one occasion, he didn't call for our scheduled appointment (more than 45 minutes after the set time). My time was not valued. When I made an appointment to discuss items in the Discovery paperwork, he was not prepared and stated he hadn't read it yet. My date of incident was listed incorrectly on court documents by his staff, and no one in his office caught it, except me. Upon completion of my Deposition (January), I asked what our next move was and Matt stated he would reach out to opposing counsel in 1-2 weeks to discuss a settlement. Well that didn't happen. I reached out in February, March, April still asking about settling. He admitted later that he didn't do it, when stated. The courts had a Settlement Conference date listed on paperwork in June. I reached out to his office 2 days prior asking what time I needed to meet them and the address for the court. (2 email requests later, the day before the conference, I received a response from Tu that the date was changed to February). I had already taken off work. Had I not reached out, when would I have been notified? Matt also stated his office would reach out 100 days before Trial to make an appointment to discuss and prepare - that didn't happen. Each time I pointed out an error or issue Matt would state it was a miscommunication, often not taking accountability. I never left our conversations feeling confident, secure or reassured about his office and his ability to handle my case. Rather, I left conversations hurt, frustrated and discouraged. Upon discussing with Matt my disappointments with the handling of my case, horrible communication, and the progress, I decided to end my case. I emailed his office staff and was told they would let Matt know. Several weeks later I received a copy of the court case dismissal in an email that stated, "Here is a copy for your records." I'm disappointed in the lack of professionalism and customer service. I would not recommend Matt or his office.
