This was my first experience navigating something so complex legally, and I was very new to all of the intricacies involved. I feel so fortunate that a trusted source referred me to Maurer Law after a car accident totaled my car - I honestly had no idea how much it would affect my life, and for how long it would do so. Everyone at Maurer walked me through every step of the process and helped me prepare for all of it. I had some hesitancy retaining a lawyer - I had never done so and didn’t consider myself ‘that’ kind of person. However, the team at Maurer law really have integrity and beyond personal injury cases, pursue elder abuse cases as well. Not every place I received treatment knew Maurer, but the ones that did all had very good things to say about them. I felt in very good hands through every step of my treatment, even when my mother was diagnosed with cancer over the holidays, and my own care was curtailed for awhile. I can’t imagine many lawyers call their clients personally in situations like that, but that’s what happened - and Marshal dealt with my crying during that call (I think at least once) pretty darn graciously. All of the staff are ridiculously thorough - Olivia, Natalie, Claire, and Ann come to mind, but all of them have my sincerest thanks. As I’ve heard before, excellence is never an accident. I think Ann deserves to have a massage booked for her just for the time she spent decoding the mess of handwritten notes from my doctor’s visits (the one who will NOT be entering the digital era anytime soon). Pretty sure Ann’s grandmother worked on the Enigma project. I’m happy to say that, most importantly, my life has returned to (whatever is considered) normal and Maurer Law worked some incredible magic on my behalf. I cannot say enough good things about them. Everyone at Maur Law was responsive in every way while working on getting a settlement from an insurance company on my behalf. I had no idea what to do after being hit as a pedestrian in a parking lot. The fire department and an ambulance were called to take me to an ER for evaluation. My physical injuries were not readily noticeable, however the mental distress was significant and I needed help to process the bills that came after the accident. I did not know this would happen and I needed help. I thought the car insurance company would just pay them. They did not. I was out money for the treatment I needed, and the fire truck and ambulance. The driver of the small pick up was found at fault. Jordan, my attorney, and his staff processed the claim and I was awarded the policy limits the driver had with the insurance company.
