Compare these against any other firm you're considering — most attorneys have only two or three themes reviewers consistently return to.
How we compiled this: CrashStory aggregates public Google reviews, Colorado crash records from CDOT and local agencies, and firm-provided profile data. We do not endorse any firm. Michelle represented me some years ago against my childs mother who had tried to run off with my child. She got me full custody and it was all over within 90 days
The WORST experience I've ever had. I will be coming back to leave a breakdown of my experience once my new lawyer looks over the breakdown of cost. Just for an idea of her unethical business practices, I was NOT able to list or sell my home unless I used HER husband instead of my realtor that I was already committed to prior. She went from $5000.00 to needing another $3000 then asked for Another $5000 before I dismissed her from representing me. I will be back to share my full experience and honest opinion once my new lawyer looks over all of the cost & charges.
3 minutes ago Michelle's reaction was strange when opposing counsel reached out to her to verify her client's paystubs/source of income in a child support case. She became defensive and flat out refused. When Michelle realized that opposing counsel filed a subpoena to her client's employer(they were hiding two new employments and an increase in salary to rig the child support calculation to get more money), she then suddenly provided new paystubs from another job that matched the information uncovered from the subpoena previously filed. If you have nothing to hide as a lawyer, why would you refuse to verify your client's paystubs? Throughout the entire child support case, Michelle relayed 4 different health insurance premiums, and when asked to provide the documentation for verification, she stalled. Her uncooperative behavior during a simple child support calculation led opposing counsel to discover that her client was defrauding the opposing party, and therefore the court to get a higher child support amount than legally entitled to. The outrageous thing is Michelle's reaction during the process when confronted about the fact that the paystubs her client sent several times were fraudulent. There is one thing to defend a client, but refusing to verify documents provided in a discovery process for a legal matter looks sketchy for a lawyer. Responding to Michelle's comment : The point of my review was to highlight a serious lapse in ethical responsibility. Presenting undated paystubs during a child support case, which concealed a substantial income increase is simply fraudulent. I am not sure how this could be considered a compliment, but I believe it is important for others to be aware of these practices before hiring you a lawyer as they will get in serious legal troubles and damage their credibility or reputation. I also want to clarify that my review was not intended as a compliment(thinking otherwise would be a public direct statement of your own character), but rather to raise concern over a serious issue that occurred during a child support case. Specifically, the use of undated paystubs played a role in concealing a significant increase in the opposing party's income, something that came to light only after further legal proceedings. While I understand that attorneys advocate for their clients, I believe there is a line between advocacy and withholding information that could impact a fair outcome, especially in matters involving children. My goal in writing this review is to inform others of my experience so they can make fully informed decisions when choosing legal representation.

Michelle was recommended to me but I wish I had chosen the other attorney. She is knowledgeable of the law, she is kind, BUT she told me what I wanted to hear (RED FLAG). I was very excited to get things started regarding the feedback from Michelle I had received regarding the folders of evidences I had organized for her. She seemed a good fit. Unfortunately, a few weeks into working with McIntyre Law I realized this is just another example of willingness to take cases without enough time, or manpower, or resources or something! It was clear I was not a priority to her or her firm my entire case. It became more clear as 6mo to a year into the process Michelle was asking (emailing and charging you!) about simple items regarding my case.. Also, the paralegal, Jodi, took almost all of my words from a feedback document I returned to her and used them in a later court document to be filed. Some of this document used profanity. I was appalled to see what had been filed. I bite my tongue as words cannot be taken back.. Confirmed and apologized by Michelle. They still charged me $$$$ for that document. I felt like this attorney had her own agenda as to how this case would be handled, versus my plea to her for filing and fighting for 50-50..(meanwhile other side is offering 2 additional days versus the contested 7) She pushed and pushed and pushed me to settle when I wanted badly to fight for my son and evidence I spent 5 years working on. Come to find out, FROM MICHELLE, it is extremely hard to change custody- “your evidence really isn’t enough to convince the court beyond reasonable doubt..” yet she could never really give me an example of evidence to try and find. It was a hard situation, I understand, but my evidence didn’t change from the beginning to the end and I think that was a huge mistake in this case. Michelle told me she doesn't guarantee anything but sees a case with the great evidence/messages/pictures, organization, receipts, notes etc. She took advantage of me and my situation, she could have easily told me this isn't much of a case and turned me away. Turns out, she just did that at the end when she had my $$$$. I felt uninformed, underequipped, and over charged using this attorney. I am 1 year and $$$$ into my case and I have not even had a hearing due to tons of adjournments, misunderstandings, and lack of follow through. Did I mention she bailed on me and my case last week at the last minute (week of the hearing). Fortunately, she did forgive the cost for her to file her withdrawal paperwork and small ending balance she worked up. Overall, very poor and expensive experience working with McIntyre Law. I am in a more defeated and vulnerable position in gaining more time with my son than when I began.
Owner response
Gavin it is very disingenuous of you to write this because I was honest with you relative to the evidence that you had. You paid me to provide legal advice and that is what I did even though it may be information you didn’t want to hear. I even waived a substantial amount of outstanding fees which was well over 1,000. I wish you the best despite your inaccurate review. Badmouthing your attorney is not the answer. Sometimes the best approach is to take a step back and heed the advice.

Michelle was hired for FOC family custody case. She was friendly and appeared to know her information on the subject. However, throughout our long case(& lots of money) it seemed we weren’t her top priority, as if other cases took over scheduling a meeting with us and then calling last minute to have us scramble documents/ then get key information wrong during trial . Wouldn’t pick again for family lawyer.
Owner response
Christina it is unfortunate that you felt that way because I absolutely prioritized your case. Unfortunately however I cannot control outcomes when evidence is not available.

Michelle is one of the most compassionate person you will ever meet. She encourages me to believe in myself and to stand up for myself. She is Johnny on the spot when it comes to getting things done and keeping you updated on your case. If you are looking for a strong lawyer, she is the person you want to go to bat for you. Highly recommend

This woman charged me many thousands of dollars to do absolutely nothing but talk about what she could do for me. When I finally hired a real lawyer, they were shocked how this con artist actually hurt my case an endangered my child. Just from pure laziness. HIRE SOMEONE ELSE. Extremely dishonest, unethical, and ineffective. Total trash
Owner response
I actually never represented you.

Michelle has done a great job representing me.she has fought where I didn't know I needed to fight, and she has been professional when the other side was not. She is always looking out and looking to win. If you're looking for an attorney to represent you on a personal level this is who you want.
