Michael Hunter, Attorney at Law

Mr. Hunter did a terrible job on my husband's custody case. We wasted $5K and over a year and a half of our time. Mr Hunter and his office were extremely difficult to work with and get ahold of, did not show any compassion or empathy, was rude on multiple occasions, and did not fight or advocate for my husband at all. We ended up having to hire another attorney and are much happier with our new attorney. We do NOT recommend this attorney. Please consider this before hiring Mr Hunter for your legal issues.

Do not hire this law firm. I called for consultation and the lady that answered the phone was very unprofessional and tired. I could barely hear her and when I asked her to repeat what she whispered, she yelled at me and hung up the phone. I would never hire them to represent me in any case.

This attorney does not mind pushing out fraudulent paperwork to Immigration for the money. My estranged wife hired Michael Hunter after hiring and attempting to hire many other Immigration Attorney's to push her fraudulent documents and photos through to Immigration for her Green Card. Michael Hunter never validated any of the information that she gave to his assistant Julie S. Tidwell. After I withdrew my Petition for my wife because she cheated on me and got a Domestic Violence call for getting beat up by her boyfriend from her country that she had been in a relationship with 6 months after we got married. My wife got her boyfriend arrested but dropped the charges. I have not lived with her since Sept. 2022. Now that I have withdrew my Petition for her Green Card she hired Michael Hunter to push her falsified documents and photos through to Immigration claiming VAWA. Now she is claiming that I abused her. I don't have no background of abuse at all. I was never around when her when she is claiming the abuse supposedly happened. I have tried to contact Michael Hunter and his assistant to send in proof of fraud but Julie S. Tidwell replied to me that I was a stalker and a abuser. That is harassing my wife. When all I'm trying to do is prove that she is a fraudster and a scammer try to run to America because she defrauded the government in the Cayman Islands and Owe unpaid taxes in her country. She is very untrustworthy. So 2 days after I called their office I received a call from the police stating that I was harassing them and my wife. This is sad and unjust that these Immigration attorney's are accepting these fraudsters as clients and pushing falsified paperwork so that these criminals can claim abuse for VAWA. My character has been destroyed and my information that I have requested for my wife not to use is being used to get her VAWA. I am now taking legal action against this law office and my wife for fraud. Be cautious when hiring this attorney if you are not a scammer or fraudster.

Hiring Michael Hunter as my attorney for my custody case for my children was one of the biggest mistakes I have ever made. This was my first time ever hiring and dealing with an attorney and I made the mistake of missing the red flags and paying for it later. I wasted a year and a half of my time and $5,000. Mr. Hunter's paralegal, Linda, was rude and disrespectful to me on multiple occasions. She had a difficult time keeping up with communication and contact. She would often "lose" emails from me. I would go months without hearing anything back from their office. At one point the longest I went without hearing anything from them was 6 months. When I asked for help coming up with my counter offer, I was told by Linda "we aren't here to figure out what you want for you." I knew exactly what I wanted, but I had questions and needed guidance on a few issues, and I could not confidently ask them for legal advice or guidance throughout the process. After retaining Mr. Hunter I only ever saw or spoke with him one time which was at my mediation. I never saw or spoke to him again. I have a strong case and Mr Hunter didnt care to go over any evidence or actually fight for me. He told me information at my consultation that ended up not being true. When I asked him again at my mediation, he told me that he never said that and gaslit me. Him and his paralegal both have bad attitudes and had difficulty showing empathy. I never felt as though they genuinely cared about me or the outcome of my case. Communication with them was difficult. Trying to get guidance was even more difficult. I ended up having to hire a new attorney. The difference is night and day and I now realize that my feelings with Mr Hunter and his office were valid all along. I am not having any of the same issues I had with him, with my new attorney. My new attorney shows empathy and compassion. I have direct communication with her and have already had multiple consultations with her to go over my case. My new attorney and her law office have been extremely helpful with the entire process. All things I did not have before with Mr Hunter. I now feel confident going forward with my custody case, something I did not feel before. I am not a wealthy man and having to pay for another lawyer after already paying for one, has been extremely difficult for me. To this day, I still have not heard back from Mr Hunter's office after months of waiting for an email back for an appointment to go over my counter offer and eventually just hiring a new attorney. He never reached out to me, but he did make sure to reach out to the opposing counsel. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Please think twice before hiring this attorney.

BEST OFFICE EVER. I had such a great experience with Mr. Hunter and his assistant during my divorce process. All my questions and concerns were answered, and I felt supported through the whole process. Highly recommend this office.

Worst attorney and team I’ve ever met. DO NOT HIRE THEM. After a good consultation it went down hill quickly. The first zoom court meeting with my ex husband I arrived 30 min early to review our case and be prepared only to have Mr. Hunter walk in late and couldn’t find the zoom information, then yelling at me as we are trying to connect to the court meeting stating that I withheld information which I did not, it was in my paperwork and we could have reviewed it before this last second. This was the first time. Then I have requested several times for discovery documents, and nothing was filed on my behalf with the courts And I was not taken seriously. After this we had mediation scheduled And my ex-husband’s attorney was pushing and request requesting a lot of things and there was no pushback or support Mr Hunter attorney at all. I came In for another meeting to discuss going to trial, and Mr. Hunter was late again, walked in talking about how he needed to contact his doctor to get his pills Then walked out out of the meeting I abruptly, and I did not speak to him again we got nothing accomplished or prepared. A court date has been set for a zoom call that was very important to our case. Mr. Hunter and his team sent me one email that I did not open telling me of this court date… When the court date came around, I was completely unaware of it having not acknowledged or responded to the email with my children for a sports competition… Mr. Hunter attended the zoom case without me, and in the same case he withdrew from represented me without me having any knowledge of this at all. They literally did nothing, NOTHING for my case but wasted time and money and made me look stupid on top of disrespecting my time. They are a fraud

I really don't know where to start?? We have been raising our grandson ever since he was 6 months old. As grandparents we were always told that here in the state of Florida grandparents have no rights when it comes to visitation or adoption? We were trying for the longest time to adopt him, and was referred by several other law firms that Michael Hunter was the best one for the job. We lost our daughter a year ago, and the blood father immediately tried to get a pickup order for him. We hired Mr. Hunter and that day he immediately put a stop to it! Then the long court case started. The father was a bad seed and we were terrified of him getting his hands on him. Mr. Hunter worked diligently non stop to file for an immediate adoption for us to end the nightmare. In the end we were victorious and now have full custody of him (now 10 yrs old). Mr. Hunter even got his birth certificate handled removing this badman from it forever, listing us as his mother and father!! I can't thank Mr. hunter and his office team enough for what they did for us and especially our grandson!! I believe completely in my heart that he saved our grandson from a hell on this earth that he would have been facing the rest of his life!! Thank you Mr Hunter you are a Hero!!!

My case has a Private investigator who has begun to direct me as to who I need to contact and informed me I have a clear case, that needs the attention of a family Law attorney . The Lady who answered the phone was hard to hear and had a attitude when I sed I could barley hear her. she would not allow me to finish the answers to the questions she was asking, without cutting me off, and when i continued to talk threw her to finish my response she began "Shouting" at me , at which point I stopped to let her finish and I sed I was no longer going to do business with this firm. Constructive words... Shouting at a potential client attempting to get a consultation is probably not great for Business. Good luck !

Micheal Hunter was fantastic. My brother was charged with a shotty DUI in Panama City Beach and Mr. Hunter made sure justice was served; just like he said he would do! Innocent!
