Hi David, I am sorry that you were unable to afford my retainer. We tried to work with you by cutting payments in half and you still couldn't do it. If that came off as snobby, I apologize but I have a business to run. I do not appreciate how you became combative with my paralegal, after you came to the realization you could not afford me at all; that was unacceptable. It was not her fault and she didn't deserve your attitude. Even if you had money, I would turn down your case because no one is going to abuse my staff. Best of luck to you with your DUI.

Okay, let's break this down, since you want to take this right to leaving a defamatory review rather than calling me and speaking to me...for the first time.<br><br>Your husband hired me to represent your son. He told me that he just wanted a lawyer that would fight and that would be honest with him, good or bad. <br><br>You both were told a different version of events vs. what was in evidence. Not talking about reports, which are always wrapped in a pretty bow, I am talking about video, clear enough to see great detail on my work cell, and captured during the day. Once I obtained the evidence, I went to your son, and we had a conversation about it, as I am as transparent as I am before you retain until I close a case. <br><br>I then sat down with your husband and another woman who was present, and went over the evidence with him. I told him the truth. Why? Because I don't blow smoke and walk people into convictions for money, that's not right. Your husband told me he understood but that you would not, because your son is a "mama's boy," and you talk to him all of the time and you don't see reality. <br><br>In the meantime, you son gets charged with a new case while he is in custody. The DA makes an offer, many years less than what he facing, and tells me that the offer is only being made because it is me and if your son did not want to take it, the DA would go after your son for the maximum amount of time. So I go and speak with your son about it and he says absolutely not. So I go back to the DA and I counter the offer. The DA says no and the DA literally pulls up the evidence on a laptop, which of course I knew about. I made it clear I already knew the first offer was reasonable with the case having so much SOLID evidence (definitely not common) I go back to your son, tell him about the rejection and say look, this is your case, this is your life, I'll take it to trial and I will fight but you need to understand I can only work with the evidence and facts I have, but okay lets go.<br><br>Your son gets mad. He messages me on the jail messaging app, calling me many profanities I won't repeat here. No client has ever talked to me like that or disrespected me to this extent and I'm over here signing "no hostage waivers" at some facilities because some of my clients are considered THAT dangerous. <br><br>So your son hires a lawyer to take his case to trial and it has been MONTHS since I was off the case, so since you felt the need to be a keyboard warrior, I knew the timing meant things were either getting real or your son was already convicted. I see the case is set for trial soon, so things are probably getting real, but you're clearly still in the dark.<br><br>I am sorry that you feel the need to lash out and try and tarnish my reputation online when we have never spoke and you are upset about your son's case. You had my cell phone number. I met you and your husband on a Saturday prior to retaining. You know how accessible I am. <br><br>I am sorry that you are panicking and lashing out at me because I kept my word in being transparent with you and your husband PRIOR to any down payment being made for my services. I am a trial lawyer, I feel it is best to go in with SOMETHING to work with (JURORS ARE NOT STUPID), and while I was willing to do that, I did not think it was the best option for your son. With me, he would have been back home in less than one-third of when he will come home right now if he is convicted at trial and the DA successfully requests the maximum amount of time.<br><br>Your son gave me consent to speak to you. Did he give it to his new lawyer? Guessing not, as you would have told him to accept the offer I got him, which I know went up after your son fired me.<br><br>Lastly, your son is the only client that has fired me. Pretty sure I am not the issue. I wish you all the best, regardless of how you view me now, as you will understand soon enough.
