I had a truly outstanding experience working with David and his team on the closing of my home. From start to finish, they were responsive, thorough, and incredibly professional. David took the time to explain every step of the process clearly and always made himself available to answer questions, no matter how big or small.
There were a few unexpected challenges along the way, but David handled everything with calm and confidence, which gave me real peace of mind. His attention to detail and proactive communication ensured that the entire transaction moved forward smoothly.
I’m so grateful for their support and would highly recommend David and his team to anyone in need of a trustworthy, knowledgeable, and efficient real estate attorney.
David and his team closed a real estate transaction during a crucial transition period for my family. We can’t tell you what a relief it was to have all of our concerns addressed promptly and professionally. Between legal advising from David and finalizing all the necessary particulars with Brittany, we were confident in the expertise and reliability of our team! We don’t use that phrase lightly, as investors, this was the first time for us using Morris Law but it certainly won’t be the last! Thanks for all you guys did for us!

My closing was on a Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. I went to my bank a week prior and set up the ability to wire money. On Monday I asked Morris Law to get a final bill and they said they would reach out to the seller. I asked again on Tuesday they were finally able to provide. I saw I owed more than I expected so I had to hurry and find enough money to put into my bank account so that the amount on the bill would be covered. This made for a hectic day but I was able to find the funds.
On Tuesday at 3pm, Morris Law walked into the closing office and found me on the phone with my bank frantically trying to get the wire transfer done. The annoyed closing clerk gave me the information that I was supposed to have received and I was on the phone when my attorney came in and sat next to me.
He opens my file, obviously the first time he's seeing it and asks, "they didn't give you wiring instructions?" (he was speaking of his associates). I said no. He dismissed his mistake and started with the paperwork. While on hold with my bank I also asked him about the discrepancy on the bill. He said that I was given the wrong number and that it was less than what was originally given to me. That meant that scrounging up the last desperate dollars that I needed was not necessary. He did not apologize, he just said that I was given the wrong information.
For two hours we sat there, Morris suggested twice that I call my bank again and twice they said that the wire has been initiated, it was going into the approval stage but that it could take up to 24 hours. Morris Law is sitting with me in this small room and he can hear all of this. The closing clerk came in every 15 minutes reminding me that she still hasn't seen the money. After two hours the office was closing and he let me know that delaying it a day was not ideal but that it should still work. This coming from the person who did not tell me to start the wire transfer, and who gave me the wrong total which was significantly different from the original bill I was given. I have emails of all of this if you want to see them. He sauntered to his car while I freaked out in mine.
The next day! On Wednesday, I received two emails from his firm, one email from him, two phone calls from his firm, one phone call from him and two texts! I am being incessantly contacted by Morris. He asked when the money was coming. He said that money transfers do not take 24 hours. I am in disbelief because... HE WAS SITTING NEXT TO ME WHILE MY BANK EXPLAINED TO US THAT IT COULD TAKE 24 HOURS. He was being so callous and asking me if I was checking my bank account and refreshing the app. Of course I was! I am purchasing a new house! He threatened that the title company would put extra interest on the seller's mortgage which would affect my bill. The audacity! The situation of the wire being delayed was because he failed to give me, his client, the appropriate instructions. His one and only job was to allow me to walk out of the closing on Tuesday with keys in my hand. He did not accomplish the only thing he was hired to do. He told me that he paid out of pocket, for the $9.47 interest that the seller accrued on that day. Out of pocket!?! He owes me a spa day for how many emails, texts and phone calls I had to make. For the anxiety I had because perhaps I wasn't going to get the home that I was purchasing.
I finally receive the confirmation that the wire was successful and then I am given directions on where to pick up the keys. (If I were a lawyer that messed up this badly, I would have offered to drive them to my client).
It is obvious he did not even know my name before pulling into the parking lot that Tuesday. He had a folder full of different clients names. I was just another paycheck. I was given the wrong dollar amount and no wiring instructions, my lawyer was tasked with this and failed. I walked out of the closing without a house.
I would not recommend this firm to anybody. I found them to be greedy, incompetent and unapologetic. I regret ever calling them.
