Im not one to give out bad reviews on local businesses but I couldn’t help myself on this one. Tim was the worse attorney I’ve ever worked with before. His communication is that of a 5th grader. We practically guaranteed a chapter 7 and after money exchanged and a couple months later everything changed and was told we wouldn’t qualify for a 7. We decided that he knew best so went with a chapter 13 repayment plan. We were getting 700 dollar deducted monthly before our case was even closed! Did that about 6 months and numbers kept not adding up with courts so we agreed the best thing was to cancel the bankrupcy and refile later on. Well Tim forgot to do this for a couple months so we kept on paying wondering why we were. Turns out he just plain forgot to send paperwork over. Bankruptcy is already a very stressful time and he made it 10x worst. I can’t believe this guy is practicing law. We went to a new attorney and was able to easily qualify for a 7. Only reason I’m doing this is so maybe I can help out a couple people and save them the pain that you will deal with if you have him as a lawyer. If I could give a half a star I would and that would still be to much for what he deserves. Be better Tim Coleman. Yakima is a small town that deserves better then what you offer.
Owner response
Kolton, we appreciate the feedback. I reviewed your file and it looks like at the time the bankruptcy was filed your financial circumstances were such that it was not possible to file your case as a 7, and it appears those issues were discussed at length with Mr. Coleman. Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases can sometimes be complicated with the results not always what a client wants but what is achievable given the circumstances at that time. After the 13 was filed, it appears you had changes in your finances due to work related income changes and Tim recommended dismissing the 13, waiting until the changes in your finances had solidified, and then filing a new Chapter 7. Once your financial circumstances changed, you were in a position to file a Chapter 7 and we are glad you were able to and it appears to have worked out for you. We wish you the best going forward and hope you make the most of your fresh start.
