Thank you, Penar law, for everything. The entire staff was always very courteous and treated me nicely even when I started to feel discouraged. Eric helped me throughout the entire process, talking to me many times himself and giving me much needed advice. It was a very long process, but he stuck with me through it. He also was very nice and understanding of how hard it can be on your mind. I am very happy that I chose them and would highly recommend.

The staff treated me like family, and the results of my case turned out better than expected. I would highly recommend Penar Law. Update ... Even after my case was settled, the team still went the extra mile to follow up and answer all of my questions. Every person there was wonderful to deal with, but I'd like to give a special "thank you" to Linda and Nick for being so understanding and "on the ball" throughout the entire process. 🫶

I went to GU with Morgan Maxey and his family firm recommended the Penars for my SS issue. Linda Specifically. Find someone else!!! By the end of the Only call she told me “go bother someone else” It is PTSD month. I will never call here or recommend these scoundrels again.

PLEASE READ! I honestly have been thinking long and hard on this review and I'm struggling to come up with the words to describe my experience with Penar Law....I've realized there are not enough good words to tell you how amazing they all are! If you are reading this review please do not look any further for a disability lawyer, you have found the "one." From day one so much stress was relieved, I was reassured with confidence that I had chosen the right place and they were right. They treated me not like a client but like family. Kept me updated and guided me every step of the way. Please absolutely don't go any further, no need to. Eric, Nick, Linda, and Trish I can't express enough gratitude to you all. You absolutely blessed me throughout the entire process by taking on the entire load. Eric, you're an amazing lawyer...ready to fight this for me...you did awesome! Thank you thank thank you! Staff is extremely knowledgeable. All questions answered to completion in a timely fashion. They made the process simple for me. I wish I would have contacted them from the initial application stage. Don’t wait or try to navigate on your own.

I am mentally disabled from past assaults, I am physically disabled from those said assaults. This firm would not take my case because I needed to be established for at least a year with a mental health provider. I didn't know there was a mental requirement to get a lawyer to fight for your physical disability. But thank you for NOT taking my case!!! I was approved without you and get to keep 100% of my settlement. I strongly suggest you all do research on your law firms before retaining their services, this man is obviously full of bravado. He will only help women in my age category if he can go from a mental disability approach. ** Aww, Eric Penar, did I strike a nerve exercising my 1st amendment rights?!?!Clearly as you can see from this gentleman's reply that he is full of bravado. I was not suffering in silence. I told you guys what I was going through. I told you the mental health provider I was established with up and quit the counseling service I was going through. YOU TOLD TRISH to tell me that I had to be established with a mental help provider for a year before you ever took my case. This was after you called me at 6:30 p.m. and ask for a another client of your's. You can't even keep your clients phone numbers in order. You can unpack this any way you want. I refuse to go to a mental health provider in this County- they are sad to say the least. And I told Trish that. I kept fighting WITH OUT YOU and I won on my own. It's as simple as that. You can throw all the lofty law terms you feel like on my review. I'm telling you right now I have every right to expect my first amendment rights that you are a man that is totally feeding his ego. You do not care about women like me otherwise you would have took my case. I have every right to express my concerns to the public.
Owner response
Because of confidentiality rules between clients and attorneys, I am unable to comment on whether an individual contacted my office for help, or not. However, I can respond in general terms to the information you posted.

Congratulations on being approved for benefits! I am glad to hear that you fought for your rights to these benefits. Social Security denials can leave people feeling like they should give up. But Social Security often denies qualified individuals initially, and it is important to keep fighting for benefits until you have had an opportunity talk with a judge about your case. This hearing is where you want to present your best case by connecting your story to acceptable medical source evidence in the file, cross examining medical or vocational witnesses that Social Security calls to testify, and collecting medical opinions from your providers that focus on the functional limitations you have.

When social security evaluates a claim for disability benefits, the rules vary depending upon the claimant’s age and past work experience. My firm conducts a thorough intake to discover issues involved in the case. We then have a conversation with the potential client about the facts of the case and how to overcome any issue we spotted. There is no fee for this service. Even when we decline to accept a case, we provide a reason for that decision and what steps a person can take to correct the issue(s) we spotted.

You are correct that there is not a mental requirement to get a lawyer to fight for your rights to disability payments. I also do not require a person to seek specific treatment providers or pursue a specific approach to their case. Instead, I do ask that people to stop suffering in silence if they are not receiving ongoing treatment for their disabling impairments. Social Security looks to recent medical examination findings to decide a case. Even when a judge wants to award disability payments to a person, there must be medical evidence to support the decision or else it may be overturned by the Appeals Council. When I evaluate a case and believe a person does not have enough recent medical treatment to support a favorable decision, I tell the person to get treatment and call me back. I am then very likely to take the case once there is current, ongoing medical treatment that I can point to and connect the dots of what a person says about why they cannot work with evidence social security accepts. If you did contact my office about your case, I hope the information I would have provided would have helped you to better support your claim for disability benefits.

Wishing you the best,
Eric Penar

I cannot Thank Penar Law for everything they did for me!!! I had a long journey and the staff Linda , Nic and Tricia were very helpful, friendly, patient and caring about my situation. Eric Penar was my attorney and he presented my case beautifully. I know that he is extremely busy, but when needed for questions he made himself available. I left there feeling more like family than a client.

23.5 months working through the disability process all the way to Administrative Law Judge. Thank God for the team at Penar Law; Eric, Nick and Linda are top notch, know what they are doing, and find the right reasons for you to win your disability case. It was a long journey without pay, but within winning the case, it was less than a month for me to get my back pay, and now a monthly check. At times you may get anxious, wondering why SSA are asking the questions they do and making you jump through hoops-like evaluations, but just email Linda and she calms you down. Linda was a great source of hope. Nick ended up taking my case to the Judge, rather than Eric, and he did a great job. Thank you all for what you did.
