Picarreto isn't a loyal or ethical lawyer. According to him, there's no justice, and you have to submit. After four court hearings, two of which he didn't attend or even keep me informed about, and I lost my time and days of work, he suggested I accept the state's offer: plead guilty and pay the fine. I said, "No!" And his response was, "I advise you to accept it because at the end of the day, this is Forsyth County, and there's no justice for Latinos here." I said, "No!" I had to speak with the district attorney and explain what had happened. The case was dismissed. No thanks to my lawyer.
