I see you edited your response to remove your sarcastic remarks, but they live on forever in the internet:
"We don't make up the facts. I'm sure you'll respond to this review and leave another one, but that can't be helped. Unhappy people do unhappy things. Sorry you're suffering, but that's not on us."
It is 100% on you, and how repugnant of you to shift the blame to me. You did not show up on time, you failed to advise of at least one hearing date change, you were incoherent at hearings and did not challenge demonstrably false statements made by the opposing party, and you did nothing to remedy documented false testimony that led to a costly journey that forever affected the lives of my children. I did the work for you: when it became clear you were not going to be able to file a vital document on time, I wrote it for you - because I know the courts and the process. And that document I gave you? You filed it on the wrong case, and on the day of the hearing - you weren't even aware of it. Jeff appeared intoxicated, and completely forgot his assignment that day- meaning I had to interrupt the judge, which I believe is poor form - as I expected my attorney to speak up for me. I really could have handled this whole case myself, but you know what they say - a person who represents himself has a client as a fool. And I wanted to avoid the unpleasantness of directly engaging my ex in court.
Rasor has said "we did everything proper and above board." Filing a motion on the wrong case is not proper. Not being aware of it at the time of hearing is not proper. Not being aware of court dates, and not advising the client of when they change, is not proper. Allowing the opposing party to lie, and not bringing that to the attention of the judge, is not proper. Not being prepared is not proper.
Refusal to admit making multiple mistakes, and refusing to make amends, is not proper. It is a breach of trust, professionalism, and ethics. It is my opinion that this firm allocated my funds to bankroll a personal injury suit, and abandoned my attempt to get a fair court hearing.
Accodring to the Michigan Attorney Discipline Board, Jeff McCarty "was appointed to represent a woman in a claim for Social Security Widow's Benefits, and he sought to charge an illegal fee; and in a collection suit filed against her, he failed inform the court that he previously agreed he would not charge any fee unless authorized in accordance with the Social Security laws and regulations."
Jeff McCarty, Amanda Washburn, and Jim Rasor have repeatedly demonstrated poor character and you are taking a risk asking them to manage your legal affairs. When it comes to trust and integrity, they have failed multiple times. They are well-connected and get good reviews, but I suspect they are from friends and family, or people who don't know the legal system like I do.
It is my opinion that this firm took my family law case and used my $15,000 retainer to bankroll costs for a high-paying civil suit, trying to score a huge cash payout for some client, but leaving me and my children to suffer.
Owner response
We know that you didn't love the result, but we can't change the facts of the underlying events. We did everything we could do to fight and win for you given the facts.
Very professional and they really make you feel like they’re on your side five star for me

In 2016 I reached out to Rasor Law after the death of our daughter and Jim Rasor said “you are now apart of our family” and that is what we became. Rasor Law never gave up or took No for an answer.
For Six years they fought for justice for our daughter and we may not have won in the eyes of the law but for our family we did. They treated us like family. 2 years later we needed an attorney and reached out again. Jim Rasor is an amazing person First and foremost. He is also an attorney that will fight for you with everything he has in him. His Law firm has gone above and beyond for us.
They have taken are family under there wings and have been there for us every step of the way.the communication is nothing shy of excellent.
Jim Rasor has given us a purpose to go on after our daughter’s death and to never settle for less. His expertise shows in all he does. He has an amazing group of attorneys and paralegals and office staff that keep you informed every step of the way.
Thank you To Jim and all of
Rasor law for making us apart of your family.
I will always and forever be great full for all you do and continue to do for our family.

Jim, Shelley, Shelby and Amanda have all been top notch working on my case from start to finish. Without me worrying, they have been keeping me posted and updated throughout entire process. They are great at what they do and I’m glad that they represent me on my case. Thank you and cheers 🥂
Owner response
Thank you so much for the lovely review, Mr. Luvene! It’s a privilege to fight and win for you!
Honestly, I don’t know where to begin. Rasor law heard my case from the beginning and has guided me every step of the way where I have little to no worries at all, even though my lawsuit is very stressful and I worry a great deal at times which is normal. They are there to ease any issues. The process so far has been very smooth and every single one of the staff at Rasor law have been friendly and caring. If you have any type of legal issue, I highly recommend Rasor law 10 out of 10 Not only because they’re friendly caring supportive but they actually put 110% effort in.
