car accident
Post-Verdict
This is the review I wish I had seen when I was searching for an attorney. Like many people, I prioritized proximity and a five-star rating when choosing representation. I got the proximity—but unfortunately, my experience did not reflect the rating. I initially spoke with Michael Cabrera regarding my car accident on 8/8/2024. At that time, the conversation was reassuring and thorough everything you hope to hear when you’re trusting someone with a serious and personal matter. However, after signing, I could not confidently say that he remained involved in my case. Over time, my file seemed to rotate between different attorneys, including Tyson and Joseph, to the point where I struggled to keep track of who was actually handling my case. As a result, my case began to feel like a lower priority. Communication was a consistent the paralegal. I was frequently emailed documents by the paralegal without explanation or context, leaving me to chase clarification on my own. Calls and follow-ups was hit or miss, which created unnecessary stress during an already difficult time. What concerned me most was a conversation I had with one of the attorneys regarding a $1,500 offer from my insurance. It was explained to me as though this offer came from the other party’s insurance and framed as an advantage to my case, with discussion of deposition and even trial if necessary. However, after my deposition, I received a settlement offer by email, with errors related to my children and again, no explanation. Despite multiple attempts, I was unable to get clear answer on the errors and final debt from the case. Out of frustration and exhaustion, I ultimately asked to close the case. Only then did I learn that an offer from my own insurance had been accepted, one I never personally agreed to or accepted. This case lasted over a year, far longer than it should have, largely due to the lack of continuity, priority, and clarity. What began as a case about my children and me being in an accident slowly turned into a matter of medical bills and attorney fees, losing sight of the people involved. As a single mother, I was forced to return to work sooner than I should have because I couldn’t afford to wait indefinitely while decisions were made without my full understanding or consent. I would strongly encourage anyone seeking legal representation to choose an attorney based on personal referrals and firsthand experiences, not just online ratings. I made the mistake of assuming five stars meant the right fit, and unfortunately, that was not the case for me.

Creating my will and trust was an excellent experience. Estate planning can feel overwhelming, but Alan made the process straightforward and comfortable. He asked thoughtful questions that helped me consider important details I might have overlooked. Knowing that my family is protected and that my wishes are documented gives me tremendous peace of mind. I truly appreciate Alan’s professionalism, care, and expertise—he made a critical step in planning for the future much easier than I expected. Thanks again to Alan and the team.
