I reached out to R&H following ChatGPT recommendation for my case as the first suggested option. What stood out vs the other 6 firms I reached out to is that it’s the only firm that allowed me to schedule a dedicated time for an interdiction/discovery call and I didn’t need to just give me details and wait for them to reach out. We had a call at the scheduled time which was very informative, the lawyer was very kind, asked questions spot on and understood the case very clearly. Gave me the confidence they can handle my case effectively, specifying a cost estimate that was very reasonable. Following that call I have decided to work with them. A contract was sent which seem to be in line with what we spoke. Only after I have received the first bill I learned that for the price point mentioned it’s a special “package” that was not part of that agreement. Furthermore, I wasn’t communicated at any point that since my tenants speak Spanish it will take more time and will require more work translating to additional cost. Furthermore, they did not do any follow ups by phone/text/email with the tenant and essentially only wrote the demand for compliance letter and that is it. Made no attempt to actually get them to comply. When brought up my confusion of their handling and service, I was offered a small refund that in no way comes close to the amount that was discussed initially. Not even double that amount. It has now been 21 days since my ask to explain the situation and find a resolution and still no response. As such, I do not recommend working with this firm.
