It's a shame I can't give 0 or even a negative 5 star review of my experience because a 1 star review is way too high. I hired Charles Rosenstein back in 2017 to represent me when I purchased a property that had been involved in a foreclosure process. In addition to handling the closing as my attorney he also sold me a title insurance policy through his title company. Everything went smoothly when I bought the property or at least i thought it did. When I listed the property in 2022 and went to contract I used a different attorney that was recommended to me by my realtor. When the purchaser did their title search it turned out that there was an open/unpaid mortgage from before I bought the property. So Charles allowed me to close on a property that had an open mortgage on it without ensuring that it was satisfied. There was no mention made by him or any of his staff of this issue. Obviously no one in their right mind would close on a house without making sure that there were no open liens or mortgages and that's clearly something the attorney for a buyer should catch. Well it gets worse - the title insurance is normally responsible if any unpaid obligation like this surfaces in the future. However it turned out that the title policy I purchased from Charles did show that open mortgage but there was a clause that the policy excluded that debt and would not cover that particular defect in the title. Neither he nor any of his staff ever mentioned that issue. My guess is an employee copied and pasted it from a previous policy and never read it and then Charles never read it as well. So he missed the mistake as my attorney and then sold me a title policy which didn't cover the mistake. When he became aware of the issue and we talked he literally yelled at me, asked me why I didn't use him and finally told me he was working on it. We never heard a word and I ended up having to hire an additional attorney to clear the through a legal process that cost me $2,500+- . I had to reimburse the purchaser for numerous rate lock extensions because the closing was delayed three months and overall I'm out well over $5,000 due to this. I understand mistakes happen but to make zero attempt to rectify them just isn't right.
I referred several of my friends to Attorney Andrew Bigness at Rosenstein and Chicatelli. Each one has thanked me for steering them there because of the professionalism and responsiveness of Andrew and the firm as a whole. They remarked that everyone at Rosenstein and Chicatelli were very nice and focused on their particular matter in a timely manner.

Will not be recommending Rosenstein Chicatelli ! When we purchased our first home, it was smooth and quick. Unfortunately, second time was not so great. Chuck- our attorney would not even talk to us, every time I called the office he was busy or already left for the day (at 3pm). We end up working with Kelly.... When they ordered title for our future home- it was not cleared, they FAILED to let us know and even after scheduling closing date, no one said a word about it. Closing was canceled 24 hours before. We were notified by our realtor and not our attorney.... Kelly was very rude over the phone and did not want to talk, so we spoke with Chuck(first time, since the initial conversation months ago). He continued yelling and interrupting. Terrible experience in general. Would not use them again.

This was a cash deal, no inspections, I had a Title Policy with Chicago Title which I informed you. You had to extend the contract which should have never happened. All information regarding apt , taxes, maintenance, electric, heating, water, was provided. Yet no one from your office shared that info with buyer or read the file. No one kept in touch with me and Carolyn actually lied to my agent saying she sent emails and left voice message. Right after my agent complained to her, an email was sent. I had to call to get closing info and and was told I would be notified on day of closing exactly what that would be but that never happened either. The following week I received the paperwork in the mail. Real Estate was my career. I have never worked with an Atty's office so incompetent especially for what you charge. I would never recommend you.

At the suggestion of my realtor, I chose to work with Rosenstein and Chicatelli for a home sale. At first my experience was positive. I worked with Briana Kenyon and she was responsive, informative and clear. She was quick to respond and did a fine job of keeping me informed of what was happening. Unfortunately, as Briana's associates took over, the quality dropped off dramatically. Working with Kellie was incredibly frustrating. Often, I needed to call or email multiple times to get a response. When she asked for information from me, sometimes I had to send it multiple times or call and review the document I sent with her to confirm that she received it. Prior to the first attempt at closing, she asked me to come to her office to sign documents during times when I had previously informed her I would be unavailable (out of town). When we rescheduled to a time (she suggested) when I was available, without any notice, she did not show to the meeting. This, I found out after waiting outside the empty office for half an hour. The closing had to be rescheduled to a new time because of a series of completely avoidable problems. At the second closing, multiple forms had my name misspelled, the sales price was incorrect on another and my address was prefilled onto IRS forms incorrectly. The bottom line is that when you choose a law firm to represent you in a real estate transaction it is reasonable to expect some basic things. In my experience, Rosenstein and Chicatelli fell short in several of those including (1) a disregard to providing a timely response to inquiry; (2) a frequent lack of involvement in the process (including scheduling); (3) and a remarkably bad attention to detail. Based upon my experience, I do not recommend trusting your real estate transaction with this firm. Edit: The following was added on in response to the "Response from the owner" Mr Rosenstein, I appreciated the call and am sorry I was not available to talk. Earlier this week I did call back and was told you were in a meeting, but would follow up with me. I told the gentleman I spoke with when I would be available. This was several days ago and I've not heard back. You'll recall in my review that I highlighted "disregard to providing a timely response to inquiry." Additionally, you spelled my name wrong in your response. It's "Weis" not "Wies". It's listed at the top of the screen you typed your reply into. (This is third different spelling of my name from your firm. ) You'll recall that in my review I also highlighted "a remarkably bad attention to detail".

We used Rosenstein to help us close on sale of our house and the purchase of the new. They were informative and available anytime I had questions. If the person who I had been in contact with was not available, somebody else was always available! They helped coordinate both the closings to achieve the schedule intended.

These folks were very helpful and responsive in assisting a first-time homebuyer to easily complete their purchase inside of a relatively short period of time for a home sale.
