Kristi is repping her best friend, and my yet to be ex-wife Heather, in our divorce case even though she does not practice Family Law. She began advising Heather over 1 year ago. Our Divorce is not complicated. No kids, no property, no alimony. Married less than 5 years. But Kristi has not made any progress except to stall and delay. One thing Kristi has done is inadvertently given me useful information to use against the ex. In this case, her incompetence has helped me, and I thank her for that. In addition to a conflict of interest, Kristi has zero negotiation skills, and imo has been a complete detriment to the Ex, and her actions and inactions will cost her client significant financial loss. If her representation of her best friend is an example of her legal expertise, you’d be wise to search for another lawyer. Kristi has proven to be quite lacking thus far.
