I came to Seattle Legal Services scared to death December 23rd after seeing a 2018 tax year I wasn't aware of that I owed a lot on. IRS was ready to levy, my notices from them were sent to the wrong address. The very next day, John took time on Christmas eve morning via zoom, and we talked. That's right, John took time on that day usually reserved for family time to talk. He calmed me down and made things clearer. Since, I have paid 100 percent of that 2018 tax year and the team got my last 6 years in order. John set up a plan for us, to keep me on my feet with a strategic plan in place going forward. Am I still scared? Absolutely! I made a mess of my taxes! But knowing I have a team like Seattle Legal Services there for me helps. I own every bit of this tax mess. Listen, if you are looking for someone to sugar coat things, probably look elsewhere. If you are looking for someone to tell you the truth, even if you don't like it, Seattle Legal Services is the place. John told me straight up what's probably going to happen and he was right. I needed honesty and truth. John is every bit of that. I have been a big baby throughout this whole process, and John has patiently walked me through it. This has probably been the toughest thing I have ever faced in my life financially, and having Seattle Legal Services has made things better. I will probably use Seattle Legal Services every tax year going forward. Even though we still have work to be done, and it will probably take time, I felt comfortable leaving a review now.

Well I hired this guy paid him $4k and he didn't save me a dime, he set up a payment plan.. He charged me $4k to do what I could have done myself, and then had the audacity to complain about it.. Did I mention he is unprofessional, swearing, talking inappropriate. Save yourself do not hire this guy!! I wanted to update my review, because I reached out to him via email to ask a simple question and got no response... way to look out for your client!! Another professional disappointment!!

The entire team has been a great help from day one. I would contact them again and again. I am very grateful.

Don’t waste your money on an attorney. The only way you will get assistance in reducing or eliminating your IRS debt is if you have no income. This firm is way over priced for doing nothing and the outcome was the same. I still had to pay the IRS everything.

I can't remember the name of the person I spoke with on the phone, but it felt like talking to a used car salesman. He was pushy (albeit subtlely), misunderstood my ask on numerous fronts, and was resistant to my clarifications of the details and what I was actually asking. I tried to tell him I didn't think it was going to be a good fit and his response was something like "well you can't do this on your own, you need a tax professional", as if there aren't other options out there. It felt like he was trying to close a sale, rather than provide a service.

John was an excellent find for me for the Tax help that I really needed. He negotiated my debt way down and got me on a plan that let me breathe again. Literally. Jesica is super solid always keeping me in the know as the process unfolded. She is a star. John really knows the tax law in and out and I was grateful for his expertise.
