In response to the office’s public statement, we want to be clear that this review reflects our firsthand experience over an 11-month period and is based on direct interactions, communications, and case updates, which we stand by. ——— If you have a loved one in immigration detention, read this before choosing this office. I’m not someone who typically writes reviews, but felt this needed to be shared given the impact on our family. My uncle, the head of his household and sole provider for his stay-at-home wife and three very young children, was detained in June 2025. We paid approximately $8,000, and after 11 months, the case was never properly followed through or resolved. Attorney Kamala Sessoms provided extremely poor communication—missed calls, no follow-ups, and we repeatedly had to chase her for basic updates. She met with my uncle only once (July 2025), and after that there were no meaningful updates. The saddest part was that she did not even know my uncle had already been deported back to Vietnam, which further confirmed for our family that she was not adequately involved in his case like she claimed she was. Even ICE updates were only learned through our uncle, not her. She also gave incorrect information, stating his stay of removal was approved when it was not, and at times appeared to side with ICE while falsely claiming my uncle refused to meet with her. When concerns were raised, her tone was dismissive and defensive. Despite knowing we had already spent significant money, she continued pushing a habeas petition, which felt more like a financial push than legal guidance. After speaking with other attorneys, the difference in professionalism and urgency was clear. We would not recommend this office—families in these situations deserve honesty, follow-through, and real advocacy, which we did not receive.

The legal team helped me back when they were initially started. I remember the main Attorney went to court with me in the City of Atlanta for a minor traffic violation in which she helped me reduce it and get no points in my license. If you are in legal need give them a call!
