I was fortunate enough to have Josh Silverman represent me as my legal attorney recently. Through the entirety of my case he was there giving me advice, answering any and all questions I had, and giving me regular updates about my case. When I was given an unjust and unfair ruling in my case, Josh immediately worked on an appeal that successfully got the ruling overturned within the same week. I highly and sincerely recommend Josh Silverman if you are looking for the best of the best to represent you.

I went to Josh Silverman after a recommendation from a family member. I had what I considered to be a unique need with unique circumstances. I wanted a highly skilled attorney that had fire and tenacity and that's exactly what I got. From the very beginning he attacked my case and never let up. He guided me to a desired resolution and for that I am eternally grateful. I hope I never need Mr Silverman's services again but if I find myself in need, he is worth his weight in gold.

Don’t hire Silverman. He came highly recommended. I paid a retainer last year for him to do a couple things for my case. He was supposed to 1. File a motion with request for rehearing and based on if the Judge said “no” the next step (based on a conversation with him at hiring phase 2. File an appeal. This began in March 2023. It is now March 2024, and I still have never received (multiple phone calls and emails were not returned) no status update on that motion being filed. I had to find out myself through the court that the Judge had not granted Silverman’s request. (Silverman still has not told me this update.) And now it is too late (1 year has passed) to file the appeal Silverman should have filed. By the way there’s over $1,000 of retainer left unused according to his office at the time of this review— so there’s no excuse for this kind of negligence. So if you still decide to hire him: 1. Get it in writing what he will do for your case 2. Get ready to make a part-time hobby out of hunting this guy down with phone calls, emails, etc. 3. Get in writing that he will give you status updates on your case- within 7 days of a court filing- specifically court decisions- and 4. Get in writing that he will take prompt action meeting court deadlines for filings. I now am filing a complaint with The FL Bar. What happened in my case can now no longer be undone because he chose not to give me an update, and more importantly, he failed to follow through on what I hied him to do. But by the way- the office can’t find any contract in my file stating what I hired him to do. So get it in writing. One more thing: the motion he wrote was sent to me as a draft last year and seemed to have errors (mentioning the petitioner (me) not showing up for court) - this was never true. I asked him about this confusing statement in the motion since I always showed up for court- and guess what? No response to that email. Major red flags.

When you hire Josh Silverman as your attorney, you are hiring one of the best attorneys in Gainesville. Rest assured that everything will be taken care of. He knows to deal with tough stuff and doesn’t back down. His paralegal Brent is also phenomenal. He helped me through some really tough situations. They made time for me and my concerns. They made me feel that my case was very important to them and were extremely supportive. They abated my fears and lessened my stressors. I highly recommend them.

Silverman was the absolutely the worse attorney ever! Biggest waste of time and money. Didn’t show up for planned meetings after I shifted my day around to meet him. I usually wouldn’t post on google especially about a company but this was truly one of the worse experiences I have ever had so though I needed to share!

Mr. Silverman represented us from 2012 - 2020 in multiple cases in efforts to make sure that a divorce decree was upheld by the courts. In each case Mr. Silverman was straight forward about the possible outcomes (good or bad). He was always prepared and made sure we were prepared as well. He was very professional in handling our case. We are very appreciative of him as both a lawyer and a person to help guide us through those rough times.
