Recently, I suffered a car accident back in Galveston that required me to be treated with physical therapy. That very day I got in a wreck, I was trying to navigate school, work, and grieving a loss of a loved one. For the past six months, Mr. Smith has been diligent in walking me through the legal process, answering all of my phone calls, and just making sure my case gets the attention it deserves. Ms. Izzy has also been very helpful in ensuring that they had all of my medical bills and records to be able to get my case moving forward, and hopefully my case will be settled soon. Smith was a true professional; always patient, always cordial, and worked in my best interest to ensure a favorable outcome! Before I walked in the office, I thought I was going to be walking into a typical law firm where attorneys wore suits and represent the aggressive branding William Shatner portrays them (and they can be aggressive!!). Instead, I was greeted by the front desk receptionist who offered me water and I got to sit in the conference room. Mr. Smith personally thought I was a great client, that instead of having his assistants go over the check with me, he wanted to do the honors himself. So crazy that we mostly been on the phone for ten months since my case started! I was hit by a car while riding my bicycle, and the driver tried to claim I was at fault, which wasn’t true, but it was difficult to sort out given the extent of my injuries. The state technically classified it as a car accident involving a pedestrian, which made the insurance process more complicated. My recommendation is to get an attorney right away I ended up working with Smith & Hassler in Houston. Everyone there was extremely kind and patient and was able to get everything sorted out, including medical expenses, which really helped during a stressful time.
