Got into legal trouble after living as undiagnosed Bipolar 1 for probably decades. Was trying to charge my phone in unlocked cars. Beaten, arrested and put in jail for 79 days. Had a friend on the outside do some research into attorneys and she said Mac Kenzie Sacks is who you need!! Up and coming young attorney, good references etc. Mac Kenzie found a mental health program at the VA that I qualified for and had bond reduced and I was transferred. That program and Mac Kenzie Sacks literally changed my life!! I've lost 80 pounds, on meds and therapy that help and I regularly check in with Mac Kenzie to let her know how I'm doing. She genuinely cares! Ended up with 5 years probation for a first offense which everyone thinks is a bit harsh. But I was from out of state and this all happened in Florida. Got my probation moved to Indiana. I could have been looking at 13 years in prison. Very thankful for all her help in getting me the help I needed! I really didn't think I could have a life after all that happened. I'm getting involved with mental health organizations and trying to get the stigma about mental health changed. Thank you Mac Kenzie!
