The best part of the firm is their branding & aesthetic but they are no different from all the other settlement mills in the region. I negotiated the same settlement offer pre-suit with the insurance carrier myself (should have accepted it then). I brought my case to sunshine to give them the opportunity to stand out from the others yet I still had to double check their work and escalate matters into my own hands when negotiating my balances with providers (yes, it’s a thing). Staff couldn’t figure out how to mail my check either. I opted to pick up the check since I was in the area. I provided a pick up time frame. Since my matter was escalated, management and staff then decided to power play me (typical attorney ego) and had me wait 20 minutes for an envelope and rubber duck. If you know how to email professionally, you can manage your own case. Save yourself the attorney’s fee (their commission) if you are not severely injured or disabled. If you are severely injured, I recommend an office that tailors their firm to trial. All these volume firms are the same.
