Extremely abhorrent behavior especially by Diana Major. She literally pursued a phot journalist across the street and called the police.
The owness of privacy is on the law firm NOT on anyone walking and/or taking pictures/video on a sidewalk.
She felt so uncomfortable that she chased these people across the street to confront them. Then once police arrived she continued to argue that the 1st amendment didn't apply to her.
Felt "unsafe" 😢 and needed the police to escort her away. Evidently she and the firm believe that your rights end where their precious feelings begin!!!
A bunch of cackling Karen's who have zero respect for anyone or anything except their emotional support!
From the moment my husband and I walked into the office for a consultation with Jodi we knew she was our attorney. Jodi is compassionate and extremely knowledgeable on psychological issues and parental alienation. We were desperate to save my step son and Jodi saw the truth. We trusted her and the entire staff. Everyone was amazing and Jodi saved our son. Because of Jodi's expertise we now have sole custody of our son and he is ni longer in harms way. My husband and I will never be able to thank Jodi and her staff enough.
Steve and Tracie.
Owner response
Thank you for sharing this. Your words truly mean a great deal Tracie. It takes great courage to come forth and fight for loved ones with such strength and persistence. We are proud to have stood alongside you. Protecting children and supporting families through such complex situations is work that we approach with great care and commitment. It is truly why we do what we do. Tracie and Steve, we wish your family many brighter days ahead!
I don't think they understand basic constitutional rights of citizens. I would 100% NOT recommend any law office that fails the most basic applications of the law such as the first amendment of the United States constitution.
I refer my friends and family to Switalski Law for all Macomb County domestic and family law matters because they have the most experience of any firm that I know. Their staff is also exceptional, kind, and on point. Highly recommend.
Owner response
Thank you for taking the time to share this Heather. We appreciate your confidence and trust in our team.
If you use this law firm your private information on there computers can be recorded from the sidewalk. Because they don't know the law I will inform you that it is perfectly legal to record from the sidewalk. It is on them to protect your information, they clearly don't care enough about you to do that.
A woman law firm has a bad paralegal working there letting information be seen from window potentially a data breach for clients wouldn’t use wouldn’t recommend super unprofessional clearly doesn’t know the law captured on film

We have reviewed your profile and have no record of working directly with you as a client or having any affiliation with a case. It appears that you do not even live in the state that we practice law in. We are unsure why our office has been targeted by reviews of this nature or what the underlying motivation may be. That said, we want to be clear: we take public trust seriously and are proud to serve veterans, individuals, and families across Metro Detroit with integrity and compassion. If this review was posted in error or is unrelated to a legal experience with our firm, we respectfully ask that you remove it.

We always welcome honest feedback from real clients and invite anyone with genuine concerns to contact us directly at 586-493-9000. We remain committed to transparency and professionalism in every case we handle.
Finding the right attorney when you’re facing divorce is hard. Finding one when you’re permanently disabled, caring for an autistic child, and trying to safely separate from a covert narcissist feels nearly impossible. But from the very first phone call—on a Saturday morning—I knew I had found someone different in Jodi Switalski of Switalski Law.
She didn’t just bring her extensive experience as both a judge and an attorney—she brought heart. Her background in psychology and addictions meant she didn’t just understand my case—she understood me. As someone with over 20 years of sobriety, finding an attorney who truly “got it” was vital. Jodi did. She still does.
She never once made me feel like I was too much or that my case was too messy. From the beginning, she saw my strength, reminded me of it when I forgot, and helped me fight for what mattered most: the wellbeing of my autistic child and the ability to stay grounded in integrity, even through high-conflict chaos.
During brutal mediations and court battles, Jodi and Claire (then a brilliant law clerk, now a lawyer) worked tirelessly, holding steady through the storms created by covert narcissism. They never flinched. They strategized, they supported, and they stood by me when I wanted to give up. And Judy, Jodi’s legal assistant, was just as amazing—responsive, kind, and always on top of things.
Jodi is honest and direct about what you’re up against, but she doesn’t let it deter her. She stands firm in the courtroom and never loses her moral compass. She never allowed me to compromise my values, especially when I felt tempted to just survive and surrender. She reminded me that I was becoming stronger for my son, and that I had a voice—and someone in my corner.
Even though my divorce is finalized, I still cry today because I know she still gets me. She didn’t just check a box and close a file—because that’s not who she is. With Jodi, you’re not just a client. You’re someone she cares about. Truly.
I’ll continue to hire her for what lies ahead, because while I can do it alone, I’m so much better with her. Jodi is not just a lawyer—she’s a warrior, a protector, and truly, an angel on earth.
If you’re wondering whether she’s the right fit—listen to your gut. She changed my life. I know she can change yours, too.

Karin - The strength and courage you showed in the face of unimaginable difficulty is truly inspiring. Together, we walked through one of the most painful and pivotal times in your life. We are honored to be the ones that fought for your safety, peace and the future of you and your child. Thank you for telling your story so openly. When survivors speak out, it helps them reclaim their voice while creating awareness for others who are walking similar paths. You have a powerful voice Karin. Thank you for speaking your truth.
I have misunderstood the agreement and overpaid $2,500. After I and defendant asked this office to refund me $2,500, I have received $1,500 instead of $2,500. Phone number on their website seems to be no longer in service.
Additionally, the legal mistakes made by this office, related to unfulfilled responsibility mentioned in our agreement, were very expensive and lead to buyer's remorse. Judge ruled in favor of arbitration remand.
Owner response
We recommend that you speak with the attorney who represented you, not Switalski Law PLLC. While we do not discuss the specifics of any case due to legal and ethical obligations, we can clarify that the billing process for all clients is handled directly through the attorneys representing the parties involved in a case. These attorneys are also responsible for resolving their client's legal concerns. We recommend that you reach out to your attorney to assist you in resolving this matter. Switalski Law remains committed to professionalism, neutrality, and ethical service in all proceedings.
In my experience, this is not an independent law firm. Not sure why we have a system allowing former judges capitalize on trust formed with their former colleagues. Does that really help keep justice blind? I think that is unethical and disrespectful to justice and clients
Owner response
It is easy to assume that former judges now practicing law would receive special treatment but in actuality, the judiciary holds us to a higher standard given the education, experience and integrity demanded of our past roles. Switalski Law is deeply committed to upholding the principles of justice and the ethical practice of law. We have earned the trust of our clients, colleagues and the legal industry because of this. Your review does not include a last name or contact information. We would like to discuss these matters further. Please advise on how best to reach you.
I hired Jodi Switalski for my divorce and her and her team were wonderful! Her office staff is very knowledgeable and accessible. Jodi got things done when they needed to be done and her experience and knowledge is impressive! I highly recommend Switalski Law!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the firm. Your kind words mean a lot to us Julie and will help others seeking support in the future. We wish you the best!
