I’ve seen the ads for decades. I’ve owned 6 new cars in my lifetime. The last one, I absolutely loved except for the infotainment center. So many problems from the moment I drove it off the lot. Imagine an entire day of only Uptown Funk, among other problems. I took it in for service 4 times. After the second time I contacted the Lemon Law Experts to get a feel for what they could do since it wasn’t a safety problem. They wanted to look into it and in the meantime they told me to keep working with the dealer. So I did. 2 more times. A new radio. A new amplifier. Nothing worked. After the 4th service visit I was told that they couldn’t replicate the problem. I had video and audio recordings of the problems. They claimed they couldn’t play them. I asked them to drive with me , but they refused. I called my contact at the Lemon Law Experts and told them that Chevy was done trying to solve the problem. The lawyer at Lemon Law Experts said they’d take my case. Great! I didn’t think an infotainment center would qualify, but it affects the use and enjoyment of the vehicle on a daily basis and for the amount of money a new truck costs, I shouldn’t have to put up with the main control center of the vehicle going haywire all of the time. The whole process was explained thoroughly. I just had to forward my paperwork and service receipts to the paralegal, sign the contract (contingency agreement so I pay nothing if they don’t win), and that was pretty much it. There were several different people who worked on my case over the 1 ½ years. I was worried about how far out court dates were set because I was still driving my truck and I was worried about mileage and how the longer I had it would affect a settlement or a trial, but the attorney assured me it would have no affect. I’m an attorney and the lemon law is not in my wheelhouse of experience. I’ve known people who have successfully nagged dealers into taking their defective vehicles back, which is great, but they didn’t get the results that I received. My settlement was well worth securing the Lemon Law Experts. It’s time consuming and I work full time. And I don’t know what I’m doing in that area of the law so why would I risk messing up? Once the buyback was completed, the settlement was completed within 2 days. If I ever end up with another defective vehicle I will definitely call them again.
