My wife and I are very grateful for the help we received from Hayes Law Firm setting up our family trust and advising us on the estate of my late mother. It's especially significant to me that they never attempted to "over sell" their services. Instead, they thoughtfully explained what I could do for myself and what they would assist with if requested.
Mr. Hayes contacted me promptly and gave me much valuable advice on working on my brother's estate. I feel he is compassionate, knowledgeable, and was happy to help me out.
They made a mess transferring my grandmothers home into a trust. We paid for a lawyer to complete steps from beginning to end, but they ended up handing the work off to us after payment was made. Plus, we’ve had to pay an extra $20k because of their mistake/lack of knowledge on process. Multiple emails with promises someone would give us a call and haven’t heard back. Now I’m stuck dealing with the city and submitting paperwork I have no clue about. I could have saved my grandmother money creating the estate online, especially since I was going to do most of the work to fix.
Extremely disappointed with The Hayes Law Firm due to their lack of communication and transparency. Despite numerous follow-up emails and phone calls, I received no response regarding a case I was involved in as a third party. Additionally, I never received any formal written notification which is required by the probate process. The only information I obtained was through the LA County Superior Court website, where I had to purchase the documents myself. Upon reviewing some of the documents, I discovered that they falsely claimed that notifications were mailed to my agent and me, which we never received. While I understand that I am not a client, I expected the decency of a timely response and for mandated probate procedures to be properly followed.
Moreover, although I am not an expert in probate, I observed that their team handled the case inefficiently, both in terms of cost and time. As the buyer, this inefficiency did not directly impact me since I was not in a rush to close escrow, but it certainly added unnecessary costs to the estate. When it came to the confirmation hearing, no one from their firm physically appeared in court, and their attorney called in seeming disorganized at times as he answered several questions incorrectly, which was embarrassing for his client.
While the firm may be capable of handling general estate planning and straightforward cases, I would advise seeking counsel elsewhere for complex probate litigation issues.
I had a very productive consultation call with Attny Bill Hayes to discuss my loved one's estate details following their passing. He was immediately helpful in walking me through key information about the overall process and my specific circumstances. He was both professional and warm, illustrating his thorough approach, while bringing the human element to our conversation. While I am still determining my legal support needed, I would highly recommend you speak with him when exploring estate related attorneys.
I needed some advice on a complex family issue and William Hayes was kind enough to talk it through with me for free. He is thoughtful, generous and not just out to make a buck. He gave me some great advice, even when it meant I didn't end up needing his services for my issue! When I am ready to set up my estate he is who I will be calling.
Extremely Kind and Knowledgeable.
I had a few questions about various kinds of family trust. I called two attorneys and did not get much help, at least not in the detail I was looking for. Luckily, I came across Mr. Hayes’ website and gave them a call. They were kind enough to set up a phone conference with Mr. Hayes. During our phone conversation, Attorney Hayes was extremely kind, knowledgeable, and more than willing to take the time to answer my questions in detail. I was thoroughly impressed by his helpfulness. He did not try to lure me into an unnecessary legal procedure. He informed me that our current trust, which another attorney had prepared, was sufficient for our purposes, and we did not need to hire him. If I must modify or create a new trust, or any legal issues within Mr. Hayes’ sphere of expertise, I have peace of mind that I have found the right attorney.
Thank you Mr. Hayes,
Rob Thomas
This review is long overdue. My father is old school and he never gave estate planning much thought. After years of my siblings begging him to get his things in order and get a living trust he started to consider it. One evening he attended an estate planning seminar that Mr. Hayes was hosting. I remember him calling me telling me to get over there that he wanted me to attend as well, he was enthusiastic I do not use that word lightly as my father is never enthusiastic when it comes to having to shell out money, but he was excited to sit down with Mr. Hayes. He’s told me on numerous occasions that it is the best money he has spent. Mr. Hayes aka Bill is such a wonderful man with such a great aura surrounding him you instantly feel in great hands and he treats you like a close friend or even family while making sure that all your estate planning needs are met. It is a privilege to be able to recommend Bill and I do so with full confidence.
